Loved everything about our stay... Wonderful friendly service, great location. Our over the water bunngalo was heavenly surrounded by chrystal clear water, it was like living in an aquarium. The activities desk, arranged thee fantastic experiences for us. Could not be happier! Oh and did I mention the massage...it was dreamy, by far one of the best I've ever had! My husband and I had massages by twin sisters who were fantastic, if you get lucky enough to have either on, you will not be disappointed!

Loved loved loved this place - Interiors in white..spacious ...doors can be slid open to accommodate the lovely weather and scenery that this hotel has the privilege to have at this location - excellent pool , great drinks and food at the bar! The tropical cololred fish that come up right by the walkway at low tide and every morning and night ..a private beach, wonderful music, great service! The kindness and generosity of the staff was icing on the cake...Yes I'm in san francisco..but I truly left my heart at Cooks Bay in Moorea! Thank you to Brian, Melea, Maria, Gladys, Silvanu!! You made this trip extra special! The hotel is located very close to Maharepa the little commercial center of Moorea - very convenient for picking up food stuff, or needs at the supermarket. Allo Pizza ,,delicious french polynesian twists on the pizza ..so close to the hotel! The jetty for picks ups for whalewatching, snorkelling and island tours land and sea is very conveniently located right near the hotel..you can just walk to the jetty and take your boat to the tour. The decor is beautiful - the price just right!... I would give this place 10 stars!

This is a beautiful property with a lot of advantages. However, they still seem to be recovering from the pandemic in terms of staff training and consistency of service. If you need help, we found two staff members who were awesome: Hanere Heinui and Azusa Sasaki. We left two messages with the front desk to have the General Manage, Rose Richmond call us, but we never received a call back (possibly because the front desk staff were reluctant to let us contact her) THE PLUSES (and there are many) *Beautiful property with 108 units, 55 of which are Over the Water Bungalows (OWB) while the rest are garden units with private splash pools. *Despite being a relatively small property in terms of rooms, they operate 3 restaurants - all of which were good to great (the dinner crepes were a surprise treat). The beach dining lamp chops and fish were also great. *The in room mini bars were complimentary and refilled daily *Hotel beach activities are also complimentary - use of masks, fins, kayaks, wind boards are all provided without charge *The fitness center is well equipped and there is an adjacent tennis court *If you are Hilton Honors they may provide access to a ”Transit Room” to change and shower. They give you 30 minutes as only one transit room is available. *The breakfast buffet is ample but did not have any protein substitutes for pork offerings THE MINUSES -The front desk staff did a very poor job of explaining all of the resort features. We were told to ”watch the video on the in room TV -Because of the relatively few rooms, chances for an early check in or late check out are slim. You may need to ask for access to the transit room. It was not offered initially. -While there is ample drinking water provided in the rooms and refilled daily - you are charged for water at the restaurants . Everyone we were with quickly learned to bring their room water to meals so they weren't charged -There are few dining opportunities within walking distance from the hotel so unless you have a car the hotel restaurants . TIPS: *If you want an OWB room with view of the sunset ask for west facing rooms. *Avoid rooms 102, 104, 106, and 108 - people can look into the bedroom area from the pontoon walkway. * Find a COSTCO package or similar that includes breakfast and dinner. Meals are expensive on site. *There is a great desert place a five minute walk from the hotel called La Macaroulotte - definitely worth a visit!
