We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Montrose, Colorado which is next to the airport. We stayed for our flght from Montrose to New Orleans on the way to our cruise! These arethe things I Ilike about the hotel: It has a pool and hot tub with very nice water. It had a nice variety of breakfsst items including juice, waffles, muffins, and yogurt. It had a gigantic flat screen TV and 120 channels including Halmark, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids. You can use a digit key and check in and out on your phone. It is walkable distance to tje airport and you can park your car for up to 7 days free, each additional day is $8. IWhat I didn’t like is that it did mot have a microwave. My dad also did not think the pillows were firm enough. I give this hotel 4 stars! I would stay here again since it is so close to the Montrose airport.
This week we spent two nights at the Fairfield Inn in Montrose, it’s a fairly new facility and the hotel and grounds amazingly maintained and it’s right by the regional airport. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful and the room was extremely clean. There is a nice area for relaxing in the afternoon, a fitness center, swimming pool and a hot tub. We stay at Marriotts quite often and the hot breakfast here was one of the best we have ever had. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in this area.
This was a very neat little Hotel, completely restored, clean and efficient. The Beds were so comfortable. This stay was really good. We enjoyed the morning's coffee and the staff was always very friendly and courteous. I would stay here again and again if the need arose. I highly recommend if you dont mind vintage accomodations that have been brought back to life...which we found very unique. Its not the Marriott so please dont try to compare, but if you are looking for a reasonable nights stay in a very clean, affordable and satisfying place of lodging, this will fit the bill. We will be back again.
The hotel needs serious updating. Location is really the only thing positive about the Days Inn. I am very surprised that Wyndham would allow to put their name on this property. Soap for two days was literally the size of a quarter for two people. I noticed no washcloths and went to the front desk to inquire. Staff stated, “they don’t want us to automatically put washcloths in rooms. We (staff) like them so we keep them here in the office and only give them to those that make a request.” There was damage throughout our room. Thankfully, we were only in the area for two days; otherwise we would have left. (Had we known that there was a newer end of Montrose we would have left the first night. There are guests that sit with their doors open smoking cigarettes and putting ashes on the walkways. This appears to be a location that accepts long term renters that really don’t care about other guests. Overall, overrated and rundown.
