Chambres agréables et confortables.
On regrette l'absence d'une machine à café dans un hôtel de ce standing.
Personnel pas très attentionné (j'ai signalé un souci vis à vis de ma réservation et aucune solution n'a été recherchée).

Horrible service. This hotel charges you extra 150€ on check in without any reason. When we asked for any legal base for that, they couldn’t find anything and their only response was “pay or f… off”. The woman at the check-in showed us on the computer screen a part of a conversation with other customers WITH THEIR PRIVATE DATA in order to “prove” that other customers paid this 150€. In the end, she arbitrarily charged us 80€ (?), which so far has not been returned to our account. This hotel is a joke. AVOID.

J'y reviendrai.
We recently spent 4 nights here before going on to our main holiday destination in Cap D’Agde. We have stayed here before in similar circumstances. The hotel is clean and has everything you need. The staff, both at the reception and the housekeeping staff, are friendly and efficient. We had a great stay. This time our room was on the ground floor which suited us perfectly as we both have slight mobility issues. We hadn’t booked to have a wet room but we did appreciate not having to climb in and out of a bath to have a shower. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping staff watched for when we went out and tidied the room, changed the towels etc. When we came back the room was lovely and clean! We do speak a little French but the reception staff were happy to speak to us in English. We will most definitely stay here again - it made a great start for our holiday in France.
VVoyager61826716648Communication with this hotel was good before arrival. We asked for a Superior double room on the first floor and this was provided for us. It was a large room with excellent air conditioning, comfortable large bed and pillows. Shower was excellent with hand rail for support. We were provided with two bottles of water on arrival, one bottle of water on the second day and nil bottles of water on the third day. Why? Toiletries that were used were nor replenished. Why? Tea bags that were used were not replenished. Why? The toilet area is separate to the bathroom area. You have to leave one room to go to another to wash your hands. The door to the toilet make a pretty awful creaking sound when opened and closed, disturbing my partners sleep at night. Housekeeping should be reporting these type of issues. The bathroom area has a glass wall. It does not give 100% privacy. When you switch on the light to wash your hands during the night, the whole bedroom lights up. The batteries for the remote control for the TV in our room were dead. Reception could not find any replacement until Daniel stepped in and gave us the ones from the reception remote. We found Daniel to be an excellent worker, tuned in to his customer needs. We were staying for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast offering never changed over the 3 mornings. It was pretty boring and we have had better. One staff member, a lady with bandana, took exception to me taking a tea spoon from a box on the counter, so I could stir my tea. I had used the one originally given to eat a yogurt. I felt like a school child. The same lady when cleaning off the breakfast tables would examine the cutlery to see if they had been used, if not she put them back on the table for the next person. Despite the above, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Reception staff were very pleasant. We liked the old world decor. The hotel is situated a few minutes from the train station.
I really liked my experience at the Royal Hotel. The room was very beautiful, spacious and finely furnished. I found a bit difficult that there was no WiFi and the signal on my phone was so low that was impossible to load even social networks. For this reason, I worked from the lobby with my computer. It’s a nice and quiet space. I appreciated also the tea and cookies that were offered in the afternoon in the lobby. The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, restaurants and a supermarket.
MmauriusjdoAs much as I am keen in giving a five star rating, I am rather disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom. I just arrived from BCN and went out dinner then returned to wash my face - as soon I had dried using their towels, it smelled like poop as it wasn’t cleaned properly & it still has dried feces on it. Not to mention toilet wasn’t cleaned properly as it have remaining feces is inside it. I had complained and had transferred me to a room that had similar condition. A lady came to inspect the room I decided to stayed in as I decided not be transferred but was told toilet cannot be cleaned the way I had requested, which is remove the hardened feces, as it was some sort of calcium deposit. Totally ridiculous. Anyhow, the reception was accommodating & seems genuinely nice,& location was good as it is centrally located - near the main train station in Montpellier.
Location was great, quiet area, 10 minute walk to train station and about 20 minute walk to Place de la comédie (the main square). Our room with double bed/bathroom was small but served our purpose well for a weekend stay (there are large lockers available on the ground floor where you can store things, just ask at Reception). Staff were helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was exceptional, quality food, many homemade items - something for everyone. We ate in the restaurant several nights. Ambience is awesome and the service was always brilliant. Thank you JOSH for making our stay in Montpellier amazing, I hope we'll be back.
ผผู้เข้าพักI stayed at Montpellier's Appart'hotel Odalys Les Occitanes in October 2023. I loved so many things about the place. For example, the location is great, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the folks at the reception are friendly and very helpful. But I can't give the hotel a high rating because of one very important thing: Their front door is heavy and often stuck, making it difficult for most women to open it. Most men have no problem opening it. Take a moment and consider this problem. When you are traveling anywhere in the world, has it ever crossed your mind that the only entrance to the hotel may be impossible to enter because the door's too heavy? It's never crossed my mind. And it shouldn't. Entering your hotel easily is a pretty basic requirement of a hotel. After straining my back in trying to push the heavy door open, then having to stop a stranger on the street (to ask him to help me), I went to the reception to see if they could address the problem. Their hands were tied. Despite their sympathy, they could do nothing. Their only suggestion: Call us if you can't get in and someone will come to open it for you. Now take a moment to consider this: First, imagine you have travelled many hours to Montpellier, you arrive at night, you are jetlagged, and your phone doesn't work because you just landed and haven't had time to get a new SIM card. What are you supposed to do? I noticed to the left of the door, there is an intercom. But guess what? It's broken. Oh, and here's another issue. One night I returned to the hotel with another woman so together we could push the door open, but we noticed there was no one at reception. Probably had to attend to something else. So if that happens when you call, I guess you're out of luck. When I suggested a solution, ”Prop the door open,” I was told we can't do that for security reasons. So...any man from the street can push the door open but women cannot. So where's the security? And who is the security for? I want to stress that this problem is not caused by the wonderful people who work at the reception. They are frustrated as well by the door. It is the management of the hotel who needs to solve this problem. So for now, the Appart'Hotel Odalys is a great place for men but women beware.
