Bed: good, medium firmness Pillow: ok, all the same and a bit too hard Lighting: poor, very dim lit even with all lights on Water pressure: good, but shower head is not adjustable Hot water: great Shower curtain: bowed curtain rod Exhaust fan in bathroom: poor, isn’t one Cleanliness: good Interior sound proofing: poor, can hear voices and doors Exterior sound proofing: poor, can hear traffic Thermostat controls: poor, it’s not calibrated, too hot, and won’t cool room below 68F, won’t even turn on until temp is 5 degrees above set temp WiFi: poor, cut out multiple times Alarm clock: ok, 2 USB ports Tv: good size and easy to use your Netflix Room layout: ok Elevators: ok Parking: parking ramp next door, can save a few dollars by not paying the hotel, but do not get come and go privileges unless you get from hotel Misc: the staff are good and friendly; probably wouldn’t stay here aside from proximity to U of M; breakfast available but pretty spendy for what it is

IMO The value/convenience of airport hotels is being able to WALK FROM YOUR ROOM to check in , check your bags, then walk to TSA. This is not possible at this hotel. For some reason this hotel ( property is beautiful BTW) was built so that you need a shuttle from the hotel to the terminal which is literally 500 feet away. Best case scenario if you ONLY HAVE CARRY ONG BAGS and if ( BIG IF as TSA has very limited hours at the hotel connection ) TSA is open you can walk from your room to the boarding gate providing you have a boarding pass. If you have checked bags you have to use the shuttle or as in our case walk outside to the terminal. In reality be prepared to sign up for a shuttle the day before, be prepared to walk downstairs and find a lobby of 50 or more people waiting for one shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. We signed up for the night before a 4am shuttle, arrived at 3:45 am and come 4:45am were still waiting for a ride to the terminal so we actually walked across roads with airport traffic to the terminal............most of the walk had no sidewalks. It was walk or miss our flight. Oh did I mention parking is $29 a night plus tax ? We found it FAR easier, cheaper, more reliable and much less stress to book a hotel a mile or 2 away from offsite parking , stay at that hotel and drive ourselves to off site parking in the morning vs ( EZ air park has multiple shuttles running) fighting for a shuttle. I really HATE writing this review as we stay at the Tampa ( TPA) airport Marriott often and we can walk from our room with all of our bags to the ticketing area then through TSA. When I saw this hotel being built I was excited as it COULD HAVE been a perfect spot the night before a flight............why security is set up the way it is I have no idea and unfortunately it can't be fixed.
