The largest, and most corporate hotel we had stayed in on our South American adventure. A 5 star hotel with an impressive lobby. Some issues at check in but resolved in a friendly manner, even helping us to download the app you need to enter your room (yes, really!). All communal areas, and the breakfast are 5 star. I would say that the rooms are not, although they are more than adequate. A nice touch was the wine tasting that could be done each evening in the lobby.
Excelente opción en el centro de Mendoza. Fui sola por un congreso. Todo muy a mano con excelente propuesta gastronómica cerca al igual que la Plaza Independencia. Zona segura. Use la pileta muy refrescante. Dan toallas para la misma. El desayuno muy bien. Todo correcto. No tengo quejas, por el contrario agradecida. Volvería.
Location is poor. All the good restaurants and cafes are near the Hyatt 1km away. The area immediately around the Sheraton is not good, although I didn’t feel unsafe. Desk staff were polite, but not engaged. They couldn’t recommend any coffee shops or lunch restaurants, although we finally found one staff member with a dinner idea. Building reasonably decorated, but poorly built. Elevators shake. Doors in the bathroom are misaligned and don’t close properly. Floor tiles chipped. Air conditioning works, but not well, and it shuts itself off after 8-10h. Room was clean, though, and wifi was good enough for Teams/Zoom. Food is poor quality at near-USA prices. Wine selection seems limited to the hotel owner’s own vineyard. Lobby bar feels like a basement with zero natural light. Restaurant staff don’t speak a word of English - acceptable out in town, but this is an American hotel. There is no cafe / coffee stand on site. The hotel gives your contact info to agencies and I received at least six obnoxious offers for a wine tour via email, WhatsApp, and text. I visited for four days and was disappointed by this hotel. We went to the Hyatt for two meals with wonderful staff and a beautiful lobby. You will be happier at the Hyatt.
The staff here are amazing. Everyone on the front desk were so kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel special. We will never forget the level of service that we received. The breakfast buffet was great! Only wish the restaurant was open again. The pool area is nice, and it’s a 15 minute walk to Plaza Independecia, with the main restaurant areas close by to go to. Overall, it’s a great hotel and we will stay there again on our next trip!👍👍👍👍👍
AAdventure40123140514This hotel is not what I would call luxurious, but the rooms were clean and had all the amenities one would expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful; this was appreciated since it was our first time in Mendoza. Breakfast was good--typical of what you would find in a European-style hotel breakfast. The best thing about this property is its location. It is a very short walk to many of the plazas as well as shopping and restaurants. Despite being in the center of town, it was quiet at night and we had two good nights of sleep. I would stay here again.
ผผู้เข้าพักHola, si fui, amo Mendoza, mi padre era Mendocino.
