The most amazing, helpful staff. Beautiful clean rooms in a quiet garden setting. Absolutely faultless. Doncaster and the surrounding suburbs have a lot to offer and this is a great home base. There is so much parking available and it is very secure. We will be doing many visits there.

I stayed at the Doncaster Mercure from March 29 until Sunday, April 2. I found the hotel to be average at best. The gym was terrible, breakfast buffet average at best and the staff absolutely horrible (& very rude). I arrived late on the 29 (close to midnight). I could hear the staff in the back room, but nobody seemed interested in checking me in. I finally got their attention and checked in successfully. I did not like the room (3rd level, directly across the small courtyard from the gym. Very little sunlight and very little privacy, unless you kept the curtains closed. However the worst part was checking out!!!!!! I had no idea check out was at 11:00 AM. I was not told upon check in and there were no notices in the room (I was planning to check out at noon). I received a phone call from the front desk at 11:00 AM asking me if I was checking out. When I responded yes, I was informed very rudely that check out was at 11:00. When I asked for an extension, the person ( I am assuming the manager) said ”No” - no explanation, nothing. I managed to get packed and checked out at 11:35. When I suggested to the person who called me that it would be nice to know what time check out is, he simply said 11:00 AM was ”standard” in Australia and i should have known that. I do not live in Australia and, actually from my travels around the world, 12:00 Noon is the the usual check out time. This person was very rude, belittled me for believing that noon was the norm and and made no attempts to make the situation better. My next stop was Sydney, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Guess what - the checkout time was noon and, if requested 1:00 PM at no extra charge. I will never stay at the Doncaster Mercure again. The hotel is OK, certainly manageable. But the front desk staff are rude, very unfriendly and not customer oriented.

ค่ะ ห้องเก่าไปนิดแต่ราคาดีมากเลยไม่เป็นปัญหา จองห้องผ่าน 1 แต่แรกก็กดที่ lodge ดูว่าตรงกับ rate จะได้รายได้ทั้งหมดมั้ย ยังไงเค้าคงไม่ไป 2 ไปเลยเลข เข้าพักห้าคืนในนาทีสุดท้าย(สามีก็เข้าโรงพยาบาลกระทันหัน) ไม่มีงานแต่งเลย ที่จอดรถก็ง่าย สวนค่อนข้างน่ารักและตอนกลางคืนก็สวยมากมีไฟของเทพนิยาย ฉันสบายมาก รู้สึกปลอดภัย มีพื้นที่ให้ขยับและวางอุปกรณ์ของฉันมากมาย ที่จอดรถอยู่ด้านนอก จุดเงียบสงบ (น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจ) และเตียงนอนนุ่มนวลดี ชอบที่จะสามารถดูทีวีจากโซฟา(มากกว่าเตียงนอน) และฉันได้ใช้โต๊ะเพื่อวาดภาพหรือใช้แล็ปท็อปของฉัน อีกทั้งยังมีม้านั่งที่กว้างขวางสําหรับทําอาหารเช้าหรือขนม การเดินทางเข้าออกโรงแรมมายังถนนใหญ่ได้ง่าย ( รร.ล็อคเกอร์ ถนนจึงไม่ค่อยมีคนเยอะ) เดินไปสถานีรถไฟที่ใกล้ที่สุดครึ่งชั่วโมงก็ถึงแล้ว เดินเพลินๆ (แม้จะค่อนข้างเสียงดัง) เดินเล่นเพลินๆ ก็มีรถเมล์เลียบ Middleborough Rd ไปสถานี Box Hill ซึ่งน่าจะคุ้มค่ากับการดู ยังไงก็ตามได้ทํางานออกว่าจะจอดรถที่ไหนใกล้กับสถานี Laburnum โดยไม่เสียเงินจึงค่อนข้างง่ายในการเข้าเมืองและกลับโดยไม่ต้องเอาเงินมัดจําจอดรถออกมา พนักงานต้อนรับน่าอยู่ ไม่ได้ใช้สิ่งอํานวยความสะดวก อาหารเช้า แอร์ หรือ wifi ไม่ได้ว่าให้รหัสผ่าน ทุกครั้งที่ฉันต้องการเข้าออกก็หลัง reception ปิดเลยยอม พักที่นี่อีกแน่นอนเมื่อเราต้องการที่พักทางตะวันออก ก็มีความสุขมากๆ รักษาความคาดหวังของคุณเป็นจริง คุณจะไม่เป็นไร

Our family comprising 4 adults + 1 toddler and 1 infant stayed 3 nites in a 2 bedroom apartment. A baby cot was provided as per our request. Apartment was fully furnished with fully equipped kitchen plus washer/dryer machine. And so we’re able to cook meals and do laundry. BoxHill Central Shopping Mall is just next door and there are plenty of eateries around the hotel. The hotel is about 45 mins drive from Melbourne airport. There wasn’t any more parking available for us so we’d to park along the road and at the train station under the shopping mall (free parking). Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Good sized apartment (free upgrade to 2br thanks Avani). Great location for proximity to hospital. I greatly appreciated the double glazing and quietness of the stay. Unfortunately cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch when we arrived but reception were quick to apologise and fix. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Box Hill.
