The rooms are carved out of historic caves, offering a unique and enchanting atmosphere that blends modern luxury with ancient charm. The location is perfect, nestled within the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site, providing easy access to the city’s main attractions. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which include a sauna, hammam, and a heated indoor pool. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. One minor downside was the cost of some extras, which felt a bit high. Additionally, while the cave-themed rooms are stunning, they might not be for everyone due to the unique layout and lighting. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unique stay in Matera."

"A wonderful place to stay with staff that was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was quite big and had all the modern facilities we could want, such as TV, a big bathroom with a rain shower, shower necessities, towels for the swimming pool. We had a private terrace that looked out over the fields that surround the masseria. It is located a couple kilometers outside of Matera, making it perfect for visiting the city but also enjoying a peaceful vacation. The breakfast is extensive and they offer to the option to have dinner too, which I definitely recommend trying at least once. "

"The first thing I have to mention is that thankfully the staff assists you with your luggage even at 6:15 am! Matera is a series of ups and downs and being high up near the Duomo affords you breathtaking views from the bar and terrace. The room was nice, clean but was not the show stopper. The restaurant and bar staffs were wonderful, the front desk, while very helpful, did not exude that warm feeling that the wait staff did. Overall a great stay and if in Matera again we would definitely return to the quarry."

If you park outside, it will be a bit tiring to drag your suitcase in. The room size is OK, the ceiling is very high, the shower water is very big, and the hotel breakfast requires walking through the gallery, which is quite interesting."
