The room seemed a little bigger than normal Ibis, quite a decent amount of storage for a 1 or 2 night stay, nice big shower, comfortable bed, air conditioning. Small parking garage which you have to pre book and cost €10 per night. Breakfast was the normal fare but replenished and good. Walk right out of the main doors and onto an area with bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend if passing through."

Louise in reception was charming and we were so thrilled to be upgraded to the most beautiful bedroom I have ever stayed in (and I have been to many a hotel in my 53 years)... I love the fact that the hotel has no bells and whistles as far as facilities go, but is simply excellent in the most extraordinary way. In 2025 when we are forced to deal with chat boxes and robot pre-recorded voices and horrible internet service (or lack of it), the Crayeres is like an oasis in the desert."

"This was one of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed. We splashed out on a junior suite and it was so worth it. The view was incredible and the room made full use of it with a long veranda and floor to ceiling windows. Staff were kind and attentive everywhere. The food at breakfast, in the restaurant and in the bar was delicious and although there was quite limited choice, everything was superb quality. We enjoyed sitting by the pool with a gorgeous view of the Bollinger vineyard. We had considered staying at the Royal Champagne hotel and took a drive up there to take a look, but the views didn’t compare with the Loisium. There are four small independent champagne growers within a 15 minute walk and within a 10 minute drive, many more in Ay. Absolutely wonderful break. We’ll be back."

"We found that hotel by looking at “hotel with car park” in Reims and booked. I have to say that as soon as you enter rue de Magneux, guided by the satnav, seeing cars parked both sides, with a sole lane in the middle, I thought “Where the hell are we headed?” The hotel is placed on both side of the street and is composed by various composite blocks purchased one after the other, it has evolved like this and will probably carry on to do so. A magnetic card/key is given to you and it open a WIDE garage that can fit 16 cars and a few motorcycles. That might have been a workshop or a farm building of some sort and there is a LOT OF ROOM in it. As much as the bedrooms in block C actually, and I have to say that we’ve got the widest bedroom we ever had, through our travelling years. We had a glance at the other bedrooms of block C with the maid in the morning and they are spacious but not only MONEY has been spent on very high quality items: beddings, furniture, massive TV (we didn’t turned it on) air con, superb bathrooms, electric blinds, nice curtains… as a cherry on the cake there is nice personnel, friendly boss, standard and complete buffet breakfast. And all that for less than the chains in centre town!!!!"
