I’m appalled! Im a member of Marriott, so I chose to stay in this hotel every single time when I was in the area. Lately my experience with this hotel has been terrible! Last time they charged me $250 because someone reported my dog attacked a kid! They didn’t even investigate it until I called 6 times!(the girl worked at the front desk told me the manager will be there in 1-2 hours so I left my number. A few hours later I called to ask, I called the wrong number so it went to booking department, I explained what happened and asked to be transferred to front desk girl, because she is the one charged me $250. And guess what! Instead of talking to me, she made the booking department lady to tell me”She said that the manager will call you as soon as he’s back” I insisted on checking the security cameras and there were nobody got attacked!!! got my money back and their explanation was”someone too advantage of the hotel for a free night.”. So they made me pay for the night???
And I don’t even know why I stayed here again last night! I couldn’t believe my eyes ! What is going on with this duvet??!!!! I didn’t want to have any trouble with people when I’m traveling by myself so I only requested for another blanket, but it never came, so I spent a night without blanket.
I was going to show the front desk these pics but my phone was dead and I was in rush to go to my appointment. Anyways I’m done with this hotel!

This hotel is very close to restaurants and entertainment like bowling and movie theatres. We stayed for one night during March Break and had a wonderful stay without one negative experience. I was able to confirm with the front desk a time for early check-in and when we arrived, the young man at the desk was ready for us. He checked us in promptly and even answered all of our questions before we asked. Our two-bedroom suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everyone had a good sleep, although there was a weird constant clanking sound which we think is the elevator. We no longer needed to book a pool timeslot and when my husband took the kids down, he said everyone visiting the pool was respectful of space. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was serving a full breakfast buffet with some friendly staff. It was great with a hot table, pastries, cereal, pancake machine, fruit, yogurt. The dining area had plenty of seating and coffee/tea was available all day which made my husband happy. We enjoyed staying here so much we might have to find a reason to come back.

Like the convenient location, modern interior design. Some basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush and shower caps were made available upon request. While the staff are friendly, it took me a few attempts before my calls to the guest service were attended to.

ผผู้เข้าพักMy wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. (Also requiring keycard access.) The offerings consisted of the usual combination of hot & cold items. Overall, we wer
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is about 40 mins walk from the quaint, historic town of Unionville and about 45 mins drive from Toronto. There is a train that runs direct from Unionville to Toronto. There are a few restaurants in Unionville and Markham, close to the hotel. The lobby area is a great space with wide open bar and restaurant with an impressive ceiling helix-like decoration above them. The gym on the third floor had ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and plenty of free weights and several weight machines. There is a lounge on the fourth floor, sadly the coffee maker was not working on our visit, but thankfully we were offered delicious coffee from the coffee maker in the bar on the ground floor. We moved rooms because our first room looked out across the street to another block of offices and shops, which we did not like. The second room looked out over the parking area but at least there was no construction and the view was open and bright. A big thanks to Ashan (receptionist- I hope I didn't spell your name wrong) for kindly moving us and to the bar staff- Bernice and Watson for being so attentive. Thanks for introducing us to some delicious Canadian wine from Niagara! The rooms were clean but we were surprised to see that the cupboards and shelves were open and did not have doors to them like in most Marriott hotels.
ผผู้เข้าพักBefore going to the hotel, we called to see if we could do an early check-in. They couldn't guarantee but said they would call if the room was available for check in. We killed some time before going to the hotel as they didn't call. We went to the hotel after the check-in time (3pm). The room wasn't ready, even though check in time had passed. They told us it would be ready ”soon” but ultimately it wasn't ready until almost 5pm, two hours late. This type of inconvenience is challenging, particularly when travelling with young kids who just want to get to the room. They told us that staffing was an issue because of a snow storm, which I could see being realistic in the morning, but by afternoon, most roads were clear. The room itself was fine, but realistically it was pretty small to be called a suite. The fridge doesn't even open the whole way before it hits the counter. My other major issue with this hotel was the amount of waste generated. The CEO of Hilton said (2021 Sustainability Report): ”There has never been a more important time to double down on our commitments and raise the bar on our environmental and social goals. In the coming year, as climate science and best practices continue to evolve, we will set more ambitious environmental targets that will help preserve the destinations where we live, work and travel, and pave the way to a net-zero future. ” Hilton has a priority of Preventing Waste and Contributing to a Circular Economy. Hilton's ambitions include a 50% reduction in waste by 2030, but there are some very easy quick wins that could be implemented at this hotel today (breakfast had disposable plates/bowls/cups/cutlery). In my observation, I did not see anyone take their breakfast to go. Simply swapping our their disposables with regular dishes and cutlery would be an easy way to reduce a LOT of waste. Going further, there's no reason that the bedrooms need to continue using the small shampoo/condition etc -- they should be transitioned to the larger, dispensing models.
