Robinson Maldives - All Inclusive, Adults Only

We have just returned from this genuine paradise. Having booked a while ago, we eventually arrived ( after a long journey of 2 planes and a boat ) at Robinsons Maldives. We was greeted in a very warm and welcoming manner. After the initial reception, we were then taken to our accommodation, this was the only problem. The bungalow we had booked was not acceptable due to changes in the landscape etc, however the team at Robinsons made sure that this in no way distracted from our holiday. We were offered alternative accomodation but this was not available till the following day. Once in our new bungalow the team continued to help us and offer various extras to compensate us. The bungalow was perfect with a private area on the beach. Prior to the holiday I was a bit apprehensive with regards all inclusive food, I needn't have worried. Each meal time brought an array of different cuisines. Snorkeling was spectacular, and around the coral was like swimming in an aquarium. Back to the team lead by Andreas and Kristina, their attention to detail was second to none and this culminated in our final day ( my birthday) which they laid on a water villa, two birthday cards, two bottles of champagne and a private dinner with our own chef overlooking the Indian ocean, all at no extra charge. As said before attention to detail was spot on and when we left the island at 5am, sure enough there was Andreas to bid us farewell. We also received a personal video from Andreas the following morning, thank us for our stay and showing us that fabulous sunrise. Thank you Andreas and all your team. Andy and Tracey xx

From stepping off the plane everything flowed seamlessly thanks to the Robinsons team. As soon as we stepped off the speedboat in Funamadua we were greeted by some of the team where we were given a gift, welcome drink and all information needed for our stay before getting taken to our spacious, lovely garden bungalow. The resort is amazing, it's picture perfect, clean and just so much space with plenty to do. The resort isn't at all crowded, there are plenty of sunbeds and there's no rush as you'll always get a sunbed no matter what time. We couldn't fault the food, every single meal was plated up in front of us and presented beautifully. We were a family of 3 and stayed for 10 nights and we never had a bad meal. The quality of the food and drink was outstanding. All drinks are branded in the all inclusive menu and the cocktails are fab. We cannot praise the staff enough for their dedication and hard work, they are all charming. A big thank you to Livan, Sajjid, Shoona and so many others we didn't get their names. A massive thank you to Mallick (pool barman) who looked after us our whole holiday. He was fun, entertaining and so chatty whilst working hard running around serving everyone. My daughter also had a trip to the Spa, she said it was amazing and would definitely recommend it. Finally a huge thank you to Andreas (General Manager) what a true dedicated gent, looking after us and his staff. I could say so much more. We would love to return one day. It was an amazing vacation! My husband gave me a trip for March 8 and I went alone to the most romantic place on earth. Everything was at the highest level. I want to pay special attention to the hotel staff - open, kind, cheerful, caring people from different countries of the world, who create a cozy friendly atmosphere, I felt very comfortable, the feeling as if we have known each other for a long time. The food is excellent, each dish is a work of art. The beach is snow-white and the water is azure and you just don't want to leave. Very diverse underwater world, many kinds of fish, reef sharks, rays. In the evenings purple sunsets and every evening program from the hotel. I’ll miss you:)

Thankyou ROBINSON Maldives for everything, the stay that I experienced was so great and it’s the best place always to make perfect holiday. I stayed in water villa and beach villa both are unique with their experiences and rooms are really spacious, hygiene was on point, food and beverages were amazing. When it comes to staff they are so friendly and supportive. It feels like a family in Robinson Maldives, we enjoyed a lot. Special thanks to Mr. Andreas Club Director for everything🫶🫶🫶

As usual a great stay. Friendly team, amazing food and and an outstanding house reef. Few steps from your beach villa and you are already snorkelling with turtles, black tip sharks and many fish. The reef is getting better and better after every trip. More corals, more colours and more fish. They even have a Mobula cleaning station in from of the arrival jetty. But for that you will need to be a certified diver as it is at 22 meters. Already looking forward for the next visit.

I’ve visited more than 20 countries in my life and I am addicted to discovering more and more places. But what I experienced here was something different. What I can say only is FANTASTIC. Everyone and everything was amazing, wonderful and gorgeous. After we landed in Male, a colleague from Robinson waited for us, helping to check in and then we were taken in the lounge where we could refresh ourselves and take food and drinks. After 1 hour flight we took 25 minutes speed boat trip and we faced with the warmest welcome from Robinson I’mve ever seen with refreshments and big smiles. We got the important information and right away our room. Fahim in the reception did everything for our comfort, and making us feel special. Huge thank for him. Mallick in the pool bar was so kind and he greeted us every morning with big smile. Every drinks he created was amazing. Andreas’ dedication is unquestionable. He is everywhere and his energy and attitude just something I admire. Food? Every portion of that is the best. There was not any what I can complain, every of them were so delicious. I’ve already missed when I left the island 😉. The wildlife is amazing too. Fishes, turtles, dolphins, black tip reef sharks. Oh my God.. just wonderful. Professions, kindness, caring, love. I definatelly recommend this fantastic place to everyone in the world because there is no chance to be disappointed in anything, there you can only feel comfortable, being loved and unique. Do not hesitate, book your trip and enjoy your time in the best place of the world.

Positives Not much to add to the reviews already posted, this is paradise and it delivers on many levels. The food is absolutely superb for an all inclusive buffet, the staff are lovely and always helpful. The resort is laid out well and snorkelling is excellent around the house reefs. We did a dolphin viewing trip which located the wild pod who provided a great show for us! We were lucky to be upgraded (without asking) from a garden room to a beach view and really appreciated it. A shoutout for the pool barman, Mallick, who was always cheerful and helpful, especially when we had a minor medical problem. Another major positive were the guests, who were great fun and nice to meet. We did not see any loud or problem guests during our stay and that in itself is very unusual these days. The included transfers were made relatively painless due to the attention of the Robinson staff who guided us through each element faultlessly . Negatives (even in paradise) The resort is now closing for a year for renovation and there were some areas that are crying out for it. The boadwalk areas, including the dance area at the main bar and sunbed area around the pool are warped with uneven surfaces and a number of screws being proud of the decking which could, and did, cause injury. The island itself has problems with sand shifting, which the management are actively dealing with, but the large numbers of unsightly sacks fillled with sand around large parts of the island inevitably detract from its beauty. Unfortunately this requirement is endemic in the Maldives with their low height and rising sea levels. The entertainment is, shall we say varied, and I believe could be improved with several evenings where nothing much happened but staff dancing for themselves. The start time for the 'entertainment' was also quite late and long after the evening meal had finished. Would we return again, definately at some point in the future. This was one holiday we will never forget and is definately in our top ten! Thank you Robinsons for looking after us so well.

We returned last month from the most amazing 10 days at Funamadua, Robinsons Maldives enjoying Christmas and New Year in paradise. So, what made us choose Robinsons and Funamadua? The photos, beautiful sandy beaches, clear waters, sunshine, fantastic entertainment, abundance of delicious food, yes but also the endless positive reviews on trip advisor which were super helpful so we want to reciprocate with our own review which we hope will be helpful for others considering this little slice of heaven as their next location for their holiday. From arriving and stepping foot on the sand, we were welcomed by Andreas and his fabulous team and that’s when our holiday truly started. Pool & Beach: The beaches are just like the photos. White sand and transparent water so clear you can see the fish darting around just from the shoreline. The public areas on the beach for sun loungers are limited to the jetty by reception and on the beach by the water sports but we never had an issue finding one. We used the ones by the jetty a few times where there is a lovely and welcoming onshore breeze, the only downside is no bar nearby, but we lived without it! Around the pool there is an abundance of loungers and parasols which are very much needed as the sun is very strong so you will see more guests enjoying the shade than direct sunshine, we did the same and came back with a fabulous tan taking use of 30/50spf. The first week was a lot quieter as was Christmas week and never an issue getting a lounger, towards the end of our stay approaching New Year was when the resort was at max capacity you didn’t want to be too late to the party for a good lounger spot. Many guests with beach bungalows/water villas we believe tended to take advantage of their own loungers. If we chose a beach bungalow for our next visit, we would request one on the same side of the island as the jetty/reception where the snorkelling and breeze is at it’s best (our opinion) Sahadevan at the pool bar is an absolute gem. He takes the time to learn guests’ names and remember your favourite drinks and anticipate what you want and when. Drink plenty of water as its easy to get dehydrated very quickly. The cocktails are delicious and not the pre-mixes types used on many All Inc resorts. Sadly we didn’t get to experience the Sundowner beach bar as visiting during the festive period meant loads of activities were focused around the main bar and we did have the odd evening rain which meant the beach bar wasn’t opened. Drinks/Bars: We were very impressed by the extensive drinks available on the All Inc options. The wine in the restaurant was great, we enjoyed the white, rose and sparkling which suited us well and we choose to push the boat out for Christmas and New Year from the resorts great wine store. This Robinson Club is true paradise! Our stay was full of beautiful moments, from the incredibly friendly and courteous staff (really everyone you meet there meets you with a smile and is always up for a chat) the lovingly maintained grounds and the excellent food. We would especially like to emphasize the cleanliness of the entire facility and the beautiful beach! Someone who has been there once will always come back!
