Check in takes time! Unclear instructions! Many customers was waiting outside this hostal, and no one tells them what to do. I can see it literally every day.

The online check in form was not in english version.
It was very difficult to use the key which was provided by the hotel to open the door at main entrance.
Water prevent door n the bathroom was broken in Room 201.
It was smell from the bathroom.
Nobody to change the bath towels and clean in our next booking day.

I’d accept remote concierge for check-in but it took ages for a non-Spanish speaking traveler to figure out the right number. The main door of the property is worn just like the one of the bedroom - yea what exactly this price could offer you is a bedroom. Poor ventilation anyway thank god I’m visiting Madrid during the short-lived rain season. Unless you are really seeking for a so-called private single bed it’s better for you booking a shared dormitory somewhere near to it.

Overall it fits my budget and location is great. Although a little bit noisy if someone walk into the room. Little hard to find and check in is remote, it could be better if the check in process can be prior to arrival so you don't have to wait outside or inside the building.

Sinceramente está en condiciones algo pésimas y deterioradas, entran los malos olores de la calle....por lo demás,la cama es muy cómoda y para estar tranquilo está bien y además a veces es muy económico.

Al llegar, la aplicación no nos habia enviado el correo para hacer el check-in, por lo que tuvimos que llamar varias veces al hostal para que nos lo enviaran. Las llaves que nos dieron no abrian ninguna de las cerraduras, y si abrian, tardabamos 10 minutos en hacerlo. Además de llamar al hostal y decirme que vendrían a traer un técnico y no vino, por lo que tuve que llamar otra vez y sí que me lo trajeron. El mando de la tele no funciona.  la ventana no tiene cortinas, por lo que nos entra luz y nos despierta por la mañana.
Positivo: ubicación perfecta, a 1 minuto de gran vía.

We like their location for: Convenient, cleanliness and safe because it is next to city policy station. But the room is small like a bird cage, only 1 pillow for 2 people, and warning for the first time foreigners (non-Spanish speaking) in Madrid like us: You should be prepared to deal with non-English people :(. It took us 2 hrs for looking, waiting and dealing with the building and meet the registration guy. They post a phone number on the door and ask you to do online check in but my phone could not contact them and and internet network is slow like s.ht. Do not book this property if you visit Madrid on the 1st time and have no Spanish speaking experiences.
