Convenient location near Bangor. Doesn’t have everything you would expect from the chain but it is very close to Starbucks Gregg’s etc. also lookout for the resident peacocks - highlight of the stay.

Staff friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Room was clean and warm. Bed comfortable.

Nice and easy booking in,room all clean and tidy. What more could you want?

Great room size, great location with Asda, subway, Greggs and Burger King next to the hotel. Would definitely recommend to stay here is you are going to zipworld. Would stay here again!

No bus around the area, better come with a car or be good at walking, we ordered a family room for two people which is more than enough and quite comfortable, the bathroom and facilities are nice and clean, beautiful scenery is right out side, with burger king, Starbucks, subway and a supermarket right next to the hotel, can’t go starving if you’re not picky

Due to my wife needing to be close to the hospital to visit her Mum we chose this location however that is the only redeeming feature of our visit. We booked for two nights and we’re well aware of Travelodge limitations however I would expect some form of cleanliness for the money we paid. Room 17 was just about acceptable otherwise we would have left but the corridors leading to the rooms were another matter, they were disgusting with badly stained carpets and smells ranging from wet dog to damp and musky, the walls and entrance doors were also stained with god knows what. Another issue was the car park which was full of litter likely from Burger King next door however with food waste lying around surely this would lead to the possibility of rats. Security was also poor , we were given a fob to access the corridors from reception but near our room a fire door was open so anybody could access the area. For the majority of our visit the reception area was left unattended and I only saw a member of staff as we checked out. We have previously stopped at Travelodge’s and although basic do represent good value at times and although the location was beneficial I would certainly never book these premises again until they have a major refurbishment.

Good sized room, paid extra to choose room, great feature, worth it. Clean. Friendly staff. Would definitely come back if doing a flying visit.

This Travelodge works well for us as a stopover with our dogs after getting off the ferry at Holyhead. The interior is much improved from a few years ago. Unfortunately the exterior area is just awful with so much litter everywhere, presumably from the Burger King and other services. Not pleasant

Location is brilliant so close to many places in Wales. No issues finding the place and parking not a problem. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They even provided a ground floor room for me as I had my dog travelling with me. Loved the fields out the back, great for bird spotting. Room was clean and spacious . No noise from anywhere. Resident peacock was a great bonus.

For a reasonable price of just over 40 quid I stayed on a Sunday night in what is possibly the largest Travelodge room I’ve visited. The reception staff were super friendly and despite the hotel being situated in a service station adjacent to the A55 and A5 it was incredibly quiet. I’d recommend as a base for this area of Cymru, especially zipworld only 10 minutes away

When you stay in a hotel - even the most basic, cheap establishment available - surely you have a right to get what you actually paid for!! Whilst the room we were given was clean, comfortable and quiet - how can you cleanse away four hours of sweaty driving on possibly the hottest day yet in 2026 -- if you have NO SOAP whatsoever in your bathroom? Basic, yes? But worse than that - we had paid , OK - only £5.95 each -- for a packed breakfast to take away in the morning. 7.30am is surely not an unreasonable time to expect an actual physical person in reception, is it? We were met with a complete absence of human beings, only a sign declaring "Call for Assistance" and guess what - nobody answering the phone. 7.30am - nobody to help in Reception - and no breakfast that we had already paid for. Absolutely the worst hotel experience ever - purely because there was NOBODY THERE to answer our queries. Never again Travelodge.

Our stay on Bank Holiday weekend exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. The staff were very helpful and did an excellent job even though it was busy. Our room was well appointed for a ‘budget’ hotel and was clean and tidy. There are plenty of options for eating in the vicinity. We would stay there again
