Kefalonia Grand

Avoid these reservation crooks!! . They will take reservations and payments for your chosen room but when you arrive they will casually give you another room and hope you don’t notice it is not the room you booked. They have another trick of trying to convince you the room they have allocated is an upgrade because it’s two square meters larger Or convince you that is you staring your neck you can see the sea somewhere for it is a sea view room- which it most definitely not. . Get rid of the reservations department as they are giving your hotel a bad name which is a pity because the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast staff is amazing. Daily, guests are fighting with reception because the reservations teams have totally messed up the bookings. This is certainly not the way guests want to start their holiday. As said- pity your reservations department has pulled this hotel name through the mud.

We have just got home from a perfect week at the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. The hotel is absolutely lovely and in a beautiful area facing the harbour. We had a double room with a balcony and it was brilliant, we had everything we needed n the room including a fridge. The toiletries were the best I've ever had, they smelt divine! We made use of the balcony at night and morning. The room was kept very clean by a really lovely housekeeping lady! She was very bubbly and replenished the toiletries and towels daily. The receptionists are amazing and very welcoming and helpful! We received welcome drinks on our arrival which were lovely! The food and drinks are delicious and served by some really lovely waiters and waitresses who are so happy and cheerful and really look after you! They work long hours but are constantly happy and smiley. The hotel itself is lovely with beautiful decor. I am so pleased that we chose to stay there, it was the most perfect setting for our holiday and completed our perfect week. I honestly would recommend the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our family and friends!

We chose to stay at the Kefalonia Grand for the 5 days around our wedding and what a stay it was. The staff are so friendly and incredibly helpful. Rooms are kept clean and fresh. The views from the rooms at the front of the hotel are truly excellent. The only slight (very slight) challenge we had was when checking out, one of the charges was wrong for one of the rooms. The lady on reception though did all she could to help and eventually the error was rectified. This was a minor poiny. All in all an absolutely brilliant stay. We can't wait to stay again when we come back.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Breakfast was really good with both a continental buffet and a menu to chose hot food from. Special mention to Martina and Pavlosh who served us at breakfast, both very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We ate from the evening menu on one night which was also very nice and reasonably priced. And the cocktails were delicious The location is great for exploring the island and for seeing the turtles every morning. No pool or beach close by but this didn't bother us. The hotel and rooms are spotless and staff on reception are lovely. A great week and we will definitely be back.

We were so excited to be staying at this hotel but sadly on our arrival we were told our room wasn’t available as the previous occupants were sick and couldn’t be moved ! They had nowhere to put us ! We had to go to another hotel in lassi for a few days. The reception staff were hopeless to say the least no manager anywhere to be seen. After a lot of work by our jet2 rep we eventually arrived at the kefalonia grand only to be told the room we had paid for ( a suite with a sea view) didn't exist and had never existed !!! We now could only have a room with a side view. We were furious our holiday was one fiasco after another ! Reluctantly we took it after we had no other choice ! We noticed that other guests were having the same problem not getting rooms they had booked and paid for or rooms being small and substandard. Honestly on reading previous reviews I wondered if we were at the same hotel ! On the plus side the morning breakfast staff were outstanding and maybe management and reception staff should take a leaf out their book ! A good spot to explore kefalonia but I would check and double check to make sure you know what you’re getting before you arrive.

We came here twice during our holiday. We would Highly recommend to anyone wanting an evening meal. Service was impeccable. Food delicious and Coctails heavenly. The surroundings and ambience relaxing. Fantastic location on the harbour, thank you !……………..

We stopped here for a drink while out in Argostoli, our baby was sleeping in the push chair so it was great to have huge fans blowing out on the terrace and the flow of air con from the reception lobby it kept us all cool! Drinks came with some crisps and it was lovely sitting here watching the world go by. The hotel lobby are toilets are beautiful! We will visit again :)

We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary and had an amazing time. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were always very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too trouble and everyone always went the extra mile, especially the reception staff Olga, Casandra and Oro. You guys are amazing! The hotel did not disappoint and Kefalonia is such a magical Island. Olga knows the island inside and out and recommended the best places to visit and we did visit those places and we had such a great time. Thank you Kefalonia Grand for the champagne gift and for making our 25th very special. A memory we will never forget!

The reception girls were very kind and friendly. Kassandra met us with a suggestion for our visits, which we decided to follow, and we had the greatest experience. The lack of parking area is not exactly a problem, but you might have to look for a space not too close (200 mts) to the hotel. The bedroom is excellent. Breakfast was perfect! Adriana and Martina were super kind 😍
