"If you've ever wanted to sleep in a High School classroom or any other government run institution then this is the hotel for you. They were definitely going for the low security correctional centre vibe with the bare floors and clanging iron gates. Whom ever put comfort in the name had a keen sense of irony. I struggle showering each day with my husband's body hair in the shower without having to do so with those of a complete stranger. The bathroom cleanliness really needs work. Otherwise it's a good central location and a good cafe next door. So if all you want is literally a bed then go for it."

"For old-fashioned hospitality, comfort and class, Melville House wins hands down. My husband and I spent a week staying in this beautiful guesthouse and we wish we had stayed longer. It is an oasis to return to after a day out and about. The relaxed, genuinely welcoming atmosphere of this family-run establishment would be a rare find in accommodation anywhere else. We were particularly appreciative of the fact that family and friends are allowed to visit. We will visit Lismore again and it will always be Melville House for us!"

"We have just spent an absolutely fabulous four days staying at Nightcap Ridge AirBnB! The beautiful Blue Fig cottage was private, tranquil, superbly decorated and furnished with everything we needed to make our "off-grid" stay an absolute dream! Overlooking the lovely dam and surrounded by rainforest we were emersed in Nature; waking to the sounds of birds, strolling through the rainforest, seeing the resident Koala and her baby and sitting on the verandah soaking in the lovely view just felt like we were in heaven! To top it off Adam and Nick the new owners were amazing hosts making sure that everything was perfect for our stay with beautiful fresh flowers setup on the table and lots of great advice on where to go and what to see. Nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Nightcap Ridge to everyone and PS it would be a fabulous place for a wedding too! Maggie and Hugh"
