Modern very recently opened hotel. It is conveniently located close to the tribunal and hospitals. The heating in room is powerful. Apparently at a first look well furnished and looking nice and confortable, but the lighting in room is poor, no USB ports close to the bed, the bathroom is poorly equipped. In my room the hot water was absent and I couldn't have a shower. The WC flushing was badly conceived going out from the WC at each flush. A nightmare.

The hotel and staff were brilliant. It truly exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, pillows great ( I asked for synthetic ones) and the bed was comfortable and firm. The bathroom was lovely too. I had a huge panic after dropping my wallet in a taxi. But Sarah, one of the hotel team, was incredible. She was calm and helped me through my panic. She rang around and advised me what to do. I followed her advice and - miraculously - I found the taxi driver and my wallet. It would never have been possible without Sarah's help. Her colleague (Alf?) was also great. He was really friendly - and funny - and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The gym is a wonderful bonus and I had a good workout. I really do recommend this hotel. The location is also only 5-10 mins walk to a metro station. Thank you for my lovely stay!
An interesting arrangement: the hotel provides some regular hotel floors, but also a maternity floor and some other medical services. I believe that some guests receive medical support rather than remaining in hospital (just down the road). We stayed as regular guests. The rooms were large, ultra clean, modern and newly decorated. They didn’t feel like a hospital! I had a view over Lake Geneva. Underground secure car parking is available. Good price compared to many hotels in Geneva area (albeit Lausanne is about 45 mins drive away from Geneva). Breakfast was very good - good range and friendly staff. Large breakfast room with some table areas overlooking the lake through large windows. Would I recommend? Yes! And it is ‘different’ with the hospital twist. ADVICE: in case you don’t know, Switzerland doesn’t use the same travel adapter as the rest of Europe. This hotel lent me one and then a bought my own from the rest of my trip in the Coop in Lausanne.
ผผู้เข้าพักMy stay at this hotel was good, it was certainly clean and is in a good location. However, during my one-night stay, the WiFi failed and was not restored. I also did not like that breakfast was in the reception area, although I realise this is part of the design and cannot be changed easily. Also staff did not wipe tables when breakfasters left, so my table was covered with crumbs from previous diners. However, these are minor points, this hotel is good value for Lausanne.
This hotel is exactly what you need it to be - close to transport links, close to the centre, clean, friendly and fun! The staff on reception could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I was given my room key but also (unexpectedly) a metro pass for the duration of my stay which was a God send for getting about the city. The metro is also right next door to the hotel so it couldn't have been any better. The rooms are on the smaller side as may reviews have suggested, however, as a solo traveller this did not really bother me. Thankfully the room had a ceiling fan as it did get very warm. As well as the metro pass you are also given a free drink voucher for the roof top bar as a welcome drink, a free pair of sunglasses and packet of condoms :P haha. My only criticism was that on my last night, I went to the rooftop bar planning to have a couple of drinks while reading my book (as I had most nights) only this time was made to feel very unwelcome. The bar was fairly busy as half was clearly being used for a function. There were a couple of tables on the 'free' side reserved so I avoided them and sat where I was taking up the least room. Before even bringing me a menu the waiter came over to tell me that because it was busy and because I was on my own he would be 'forced' to ask me to leave if they needed the table for a bigger party. I understand that bigger tables are better for business, but as a paying customer, and a hotel guest, I felt I had as much right to sit there as anyone else. I had one drink and left as I didn't feel very wanted. It was a shame as up until that point I had no faults in the hotel or the staff but as a solo traveller being told that because you are alone you are less of a priority hit a raw nerve and I did not appreciate it.
