Costarena Beach Hotel

Buena ubicación. Buen trato por parte del personal de recepción, pero las personas que trabajan en el restaurante de la playa lo hacen con mucha parsimonia, lentitud y descuido: había que pedirles que te atendieran o que preparasen las cosas porque nunca tenían nada listo. El desayuno estaba incluido (ver foto), pero era muy básico y sin ningún tipo de variedad. Precios del restaurante caros y también del masaje (€60/hora). A nuestra habitación no llegaba el wifi, el desagüe de la ducha estaba atascado, supuestamente lo arreglaron pero seguía igual. Tampoco llegaba agua caliente al baño y tuvimos todos los días que ducharnos con agua fría. Las mallas de mosquitera estaban rotas con lo cual de todos modos entraban los mosquitos. El hotel es bonito y las habitaciones amplias, pero había tantas cosas que no fueron bien, que salí con un sabor agridulce con toques amargos.

Muy buen servicio todo muy limpio me gusto la estancia en ese hotel la comida excelente.

We had an amazing view. The property was well maintained and clean. Some updates would be helpful but this did not hinder the stay. The staff was kind and helpful with local information. The location was walkable and offered taxis. The breakfast included in the price of the hotel. We could choose American or Dominican breakfast. I chose Dominican. They also had fresh fruit, coffee and juice. The dinner for purchase was also delicious. A great view sitting on the beach.

Excellent location right across the road from the beach. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was a bit dirty but the beach was relaxing got across the road so we chose that instead. Would definitely stay here again.

It’s a great basic hotel for the money. It’s not a bad deal but know that it’s basic. And for me it was expected in a small beach town of a Third World country. So there was nothing disappointing except for the Internet. I was completely lied to, and they tried to deceive me by telling me that I typed in the wrong Internet and finally when I told her why don’t you come to my room and show me because she said I can only access it from the room and not in the lobby. Then she finally admitted that there’s no Wi-Fi and they will fix it tomorrow. There was also the largest cockroach I’ve ever seen But again I imagine that’s something that is in a surprise in a town of a Third World country.

The WIF was almost NONEXISTENT. Very Basic but I didn't have high expectations - so for the price, I think it's not bad but if you have to work remotely. I had to look at other hotels to move. Staff was super nice seemingly but when I told her the wifi didn't work, she said, it does and I signed onto the wrong one. Moments later I was sure that was not the case and asked her to come to my room to show me what I am doing wrong because the TV doesn't have wifi to watch ( Oh yeah, by they way, you cant watch TV either)- she then said "Oh I am sorry we don't have wifi right now. We need to call tomorrow to have them fix it" --- she outright lied..... but I would never have guessed her to be a liar because she had such a great smile for everything.

Internet was horrible, and basically not available anywhere on property. At one time, had access, very slow, in the restaurant.

Breakfast below par and staff not friendly at all. It seemed my wife and were an inconvenience for them.
