MMinStaying at this traditional Korean thatched-roof house (chogajip) in Jeonju was such a special and unforgettable experience!
I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. to give her a unique taste of Korean culture—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was great, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful :)
After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with check-in. For international guests, it may be a bit difficult to communicate, so having someone help with the message is a good idea!
If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss the chance to stay in a beautiful chogajip and experience a piece of traditional life. Highly recommended! ❤️

DDr Shong NgWonderful stay with an amazing host!
This is truly the best place for a night’s stay. The host was incredibly friendly and caring — we arrived around 9:30 pm, yet he was still waiting for us in person, even though he could have simply sent us the door code. That really touched us.
Free parking was provided, and the room was unique, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The Hanok Village is just a stone’s throw away — simply cross the road and you can explore the heritage park with ease.
I strongly recommend this place if you plan to stay a night and visit the Hanok Village. The host even gave us some souvenirs before we left! A truly memorable stay and excellent value for money.

ผผู้เข้าพักห้องน้ำในที่พักไม่มีคราบน้ำเลยค่ะ มีกิจกรรมให้ทำเยอะมาก ทั้งประสบการณ์ชงชา, ชุดฮันบกประยุกต์ที่ใส่สบาย, การ์ดเขียนจดหมายส่งอนาคต และยังมีอะไรสนุกๆ ให้ทำอีกเพียบในที่พัก ทำให้เรากับแฟนสนุกและสบายมากๆ! ตั้งแต่ชั้น 1 ก็สะอาดและดีงามจริงๆ ค่ะ ถ้ามาเที่ยวจอนจูอีกครั้ง จะกลับมาพักที่นี่แน่นอน!! แนะนำสุดๆ ไปเลย!!

MMrAlanA smart boutique hotel with great location. Walking distance to the shopping district and Hanok Village. Lots of shops and convenience stores nearby too. 10/15 minutes from the train station and costs only KRW8,000
The hotel is new and smart/stylish. Not much facilities but comfortable and welcoming. Perfect as a base to explore beautiful and laid back Jeonju
Rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. I had booked the standard room that didn’t have much of a view. When Tom Kim, the front desk manger overheard that I would be staying for 3 nights and wished for a view, he immediately asked his lovely colleague (Jinny Kim) who was checking me in to upgrade me to a room with higher floor and view. It was also slightly bigger I think. Both of them showed such warmth and kindness. This made my holiday so much more comfortable and happy. I will come back for sure and book the deluxe room for sure.
The walls of the rooms are quite thin tho so I could hear my next door guests and one night has a crying kid at 4am 🥲

ผผู้เข้าพักThe place had a cozy, homey vibe that made me feel right at ease. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly with his charming eye smile and was always eager to help. The room was great, featuring a TV, a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
We visited during winter and the room was wonderfully warm, creating the perfect retreat from the cold. We even had the opportunity to prepare our own breakfast - eggs, bread, butter, jam, coffee and milk. To top it off, I did my laundry there, which was incredibly convenient.
The owner went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He’s genuinely one of the kindest Koreans I’ve met during my trip. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I would definitely return!

DDave from SomervilleBrand new hostel. SELF CHECK-IN - be sure to get a message from the owner for security code to open door-- he may text it- does your ESim get texts? SHOES OFF signs- but not in listed Trip.com policies. 1 toilet, 1 urinal for potentially several dudes. Great kitchen, potable water dispenser, brand new mattresses, privacy blind eaxh bunk, bunk light and socket, small towel provided, A/C works great, very close to the Hanok Village, very close to bus back to train station. Place is brand new.

아침에는 직접구워주시는 모닝빵까지
5성호텔급의 깔끔함을 원하시는게 아니라면 넓고 쾌적합니다
위치는 시청바로 앞이라 교통도 좋구요
한옥마을까지는 도보로 10분 조금넘게 걸리는데 오가는길이 다 명소들이라 걸어다닐만 합니다
인근에 현대옥부터 해서 맛집들도제법 있구요~
암튼 딸과 들이 아주 만족스러운 2박3일 이었습니다!
