I stayed at Destiny Student – Holyrood and had a really good experience. The place is very budget-friendly – great value for the money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it’s in a perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. Many attractions are nearby, which made it very convenient for sightseeing.
If you’re looking for an affordable stay while enjoying everything Edinburgh has to offer, I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
This university complex, built in 2004, offers views of Arthur's Seat and is conveniently located near the Royal Mile, the Scottish Parliament, and the Palace of Holyrood. It features a 24-hour reception, 8 lifts, 3 cafés, a kiosk, a bar, and 2 restaurants with highchairs. Guests can also make use of 18 conference rooms, a public internet terminal (additional fees apply), and a laundry service (additional fee). Bicycle storage and free parking are available. The rooms include a bathroom with shower, direct dial telephone, TV, tea/coffee maker, and individual heating. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet style, with a set menu option for lunch. Restaurants, a train station, bars, pubs and public transport are within 500 m, and shopping facilities are within 1 km. Edinburgh Airport is 12 km away.

Check in was really straightforward. If you have any disabilities, they get you to complete a PEEP in case of emergency. They also have aids such as Deaf Alert (vibrating fire alert) that they lend for duration of stay.
The room was a decent size, with an ensuite bathroom. Towels and soap was included, but not shampoo.
Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice ranging from a cooked breakfast to yoghurt, fruit and cereals.
Location-wise very close to Arthur’s Seat, so if you had the time and energy could easily take a walk up there. Lovely campus with lots of plants and beautiful buildings.
Location to Edinburgh centre - about 20-30 minutes walk. Easy to access transport if needed.
Only thing I felt they could have improved on was better signage in building regarding exits and stairways as took a few wrong turnings whilst there and ended up going out of different door than intended.
Very nice place, clean and well presented, lovely breakfast included with a nice price which doesn't break your bank. Lovely host. Lots restaurant, bars and shops around, but no far at all from Princess Street Town Centre if you want discover the Old Edinburgh. Just a good all around Guest House with Breakfast in a fantastic location. Will be back for sure.
ผผู้เข้าพักMy stay at Four Points by Sheraton Edinburgh has been overall very satisfactory. The location can be quite tricky but I did not mind the walk to Princes Street which is about 10 minutes. The amenities provided were good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The cleaning staff did a good job but since it is a rug flooring, I found that nails from previous guests were still on the flooring which indicated it needed a proper cleaning process.
The check-out time of the hotel (11 a.m.) does not coincide with that on the site (12 00) but it was not an issue since the staff let us keep the room until 11 30 a.m.
