We stayed one night at The Continental Hotel on our way home from a European road trip. We booked a package which included dinner and a 1/2 bottle of champagne. At dinner we were told we could choose from the 50euro menu but we chose the 30euro menu instead as we preferred the menu options. When we got the bill we saw that they had deducted the difference of 2 x @20euros from the cost of the red wine that we had ordered as well which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. We also got a discount on the cost of the public car park which is right next to the hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and we would certainly stay again. (The tarte tatin on the 30 euro menu was delicious!)
We booked this hotel as it was new and looked really nice and Radisson have a great reputation, we had also booked a table for dinner at 7.30, confirmed by email. Parking is in an adjacent multi storey. When we arrived at 12.30 we were informed room ready at 3.00 which is the norm, however we were told they couldn’t let us eat that night as they had a large group booked and there wasn’t room for us!!! This hotel is in a new build area and not close to the city centre, the staff did not offer us any assistance in finding an alternative for dinner, so we decided we wouldn’t stay as planned, the staff didn’t seem to care we were upset, so we left. I have to point out we weren’t charged for the cancellation which at least was something, but it all felt very unprofessional for a large international company like Radisson.

Absolutely awful hotel: not recommended. Housed in an oppressive, huge, old military barracks building. The entrance is in the courtyard, which is also surrounded by sterile, glassy, abandoned-looking new buildings. The rooms are really tiny and musty, the hotel corridors look like hospital corridors. We were horrified at breakfast on Wednesday July 20: I had gone downstairs for breakfast before my husband and had put some cheese, bread and juice and jam on our table for both of us. My husband arrived shortly after me. When we wanted to eat breakfast comfortably, the receptionist came to our table and disturbed us while we were eating and told us very unkindly that my husband was now no longer allowed to sit or eat because he was a few minutes late. One felt like in a kindergarten or at a military roll call. We were really stunned and shocked! Avoid this hotel. The only positive point: the blonde somewhat chubby receptionist, who had welcomed us very friendly and gave us valuable excursion tips.
First impressions of the Reception and our room were very good. We had asked for a ground floor room as they dont have a lift. Everything went badly when we went for our evening meal in their restaurant. Very limited mundane choices for a 4 star hotel. My wife ordered chicken which was undercooked and red in places when delivered. We complained and it was taken away. It returned after two minutes with a message from the chef that it was OK as it had been cooked slowly at a low temperature. We did not accept this and it went back again only to reappear having been cut up and microwaved to destruction. Eventually got the attention of someone who appeared to be in a supervisory capacity to state we were very unhappy and would not be paying for the meal. The price was taken off the bill initially. We were staying there for three nights and did not have our evening meal in there again. Bar service was very poor due to lack of staff. The restaurant had the air of a poor motorway services area with lots of badly beheved children causing problems. Sadly these children and parents were in the main British. We reported our feelings about the meal to the hotel reception who were very upset for us and the matter was reported to the daily management meeting the following day. The whole meal bill was annulled and a large basket of fruit given as an apology. Breakfast in the same reataurant was very hit and miss with it being rammed full of people and the staff struggling to keep the buffet restocked. We would not recommend this hotel at all.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe had a wonderful stay at The Loisium. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The spa was incredible with heated outdoor pool; two saunas (at different temperatures) and Hamman.
The food was fabulous- all sourced locally and the wine is spectacular!
Would recommend this to anyone who wants to break up a journey travelling back to the UK as it’s around 3hrs from Eurotunnel
Very Charming Hotel and beautiful renovation! Very closed to Epernay where it’s possible to visit and taste the Extraordinary Champagne!. We appreciate the expresso machine in the room and the Madeleines! The service at the bar and at the restaurant by the Team was professional and very friendly. The Dimmer on Sunday night was outstanding … A big Thank you so to the Chef 👏👏👏👏👏👏 A dinner to remember! Do not miss to book a treatment at the Spa, Aline is an excellent therapist…….😘 My facial was outstanding! she is definitely a great Asset for your Hotel. Do not miss this place … 😘
JJames SThe Golden Tulip was in a great location for our onward journey and provided a pleasant pit stop along the A26 route. The hotel seems brand new, so everything was clean and nicely finished. The check in was fast and easy, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, quite and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. The hotel is next to several restaurants and a boulangerie, so you dont have to venture far in the evening for food (2 min walk). A very nice stay, and we would certainly stay again.
CC. GellingsSimple, and practical for a short stay. Quiet surroundings. Parking near the entrance, breakfast in the main building, which was acceptable. Bathroom had a bath and shower in it. The glass to avoid splashing doesn't work, since it is far too small and the bathroom floor gets wet and one risks falling.
In all not a bad hotel for the price charged.
Very basic hotel but clean enough and did the job for one night stay. Reception only open for a few hours so check that your arrival time is within these hours as the main door is locked and only accessible by keypad. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking spaces. Had to drive into town as approx 30 min walk and was too far to walk in the heat. Supermarket on the doorstep. Breakfast was a decent continental offering. The building feels like an old hospital and has a strange feeling to it...I wouldn't like to walk around it alone at night! OK for an overnight stop but wouldn't book for a longer stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักGreat stop off location if you are travelling through France. Really good value for money. The room was clean and of the usual B&B Hotel standard. Its right next to a large supermarket and petrol station so fill up your car with cheap fuel. There are 3 restaurants nearby all in walking distance. We were able to book in online and were sent our room number and access code.
