The location is good if you want to be close to the ski lift, but that’s about the only good thing. The facilities look like they used to be good 10 years ago but have not been refreshed. The staff have no motivation and most speak no English - the lady at the reception does not even try to understand English or any attempt of French (our is not great). With the different people we interacted you get the feeling that they could not care less about guest satisfaction. The spa pretends to have restrictions where you need to reserve, but there’s nobody there to check who’s coming in, so at the end of the day it gets very crowded and there are no towels. Breakfast is ok Bottom line, if you get a cheap rate and know that you’re getting maybe 2 or 3 star standard then go for it, but not worth above that
This is not a 4star hotel. It is new and the rooms are great … however the service is terrible. - not enough tables for breakfast so you wait in a queue every day. There are dirty tables everywhere and insufficient staff to clean and turnaround. - the room has cups to make tea … but no cutlery (spoons etc) - no ‘real’ coffee and only uht milk - the coffee machine (with pods) was broken - lifts and carpets filthy - no tables for dinner on first night … and didn’t inform us on arrival when we had time to book something alternative - lack of communication and customer service overall - understaffed … ordered lunch before we leave today … will it arrive before our car comes (40 minutes and we haven’t see a drink from our order yet). . 4star … and how much money to stay here? Location excellent and the kids loved Aquamotion. We slept at the hotel, skied all day and ate out every night. Not worth the money - would not go back. There are so many other fantastic hotels to go to.
KKevinB784This is a superb hotel, every aspect of it from its facilities, food and drink and the wonderful staff make this a great place to stay in Tignes Le Lac. Right from the moment of arrival to our departure a week later we were treated to excellent hospitality at Hotel Les Campanules. The hotel is raised above the street which is reached by a series of steps which are not welcome after a long day skiing but the spa facilities and the menu du jour make it worth the climb and given most skiers have legs of steel (I don’t) it won’t be a problem. We stayed in room 310 which wasn’t a Mountain View room but still very comfortable and clean. The spa has a Sauna, Steam Room and outdoor heated pool. The pool isn’t large but has a facility to generate a strong current to swim against. The best part of the Hotel is the staff, they are a great team under the very friendly Director. He is clearly doing something right and it’s been a long time since I was so impressed by the friendliness and efficiency delivered by the team. A special mention for Morgan who is a really great guy and went the extra mile for us, he’s a real asset to the Hotel but that’s taking nothing away from his colleagues, they were all great. If you are looking for an excellent value, comfortable well run hotel near the ski lifts or even just for a relaxing stay in Tignes then look no further than Les Campanules.
My friend and I visited for the opening season and had a great time. The hotel was impressive, with everything we needed: a good breakfast, a nice restaurant and bar, a spa, and a well-organised kit area with lockers and heated boot storage that opened straight onto the slopes. Everything was smooth. The sauna overlooking the lower slopes was a great way to end the day. The staff were excellent, especially Jean from the concierge service, who was very helpful and even assisted us in digging out our car when we were leaving Val Thorens. As we left, the hotel gave us a box of chocolates and a 15% discount for our next booking, which was a nice touch. Overall, one of the best places I’ve stayed, and I’d definitely come back.
On arrival at Base Camp Lodge we were checked in by David who was very welcoming. We asked about the best way to return to Geneva airport the next day and he went out of his way to research the journey on our behalf looking at several options and reporting his findings to us while we had a drink at the bar. I just wanted to document that he went above and beyond for us and how much we appreciated his help. Thank you David.
The hotel is centrally located and close to everything. The pool is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. The view from the room was gorgeous, I could see the mountains in Chambéry and a beautiful sunrise. The staff was very kind and placed a kettle in my room upon request. I will definitely return.
Located a 15 minutes walk from the city center, with free parking, this Budget place was perfect for stopover on the way to the South of France. Very friendly welcome, rooms are basic but OK and clean. Our daughter fell sick during the night and Guillaume from the front desk was very helpful and understanding. Great job well done! Thanks a lot!!
