This new hotel is centrally located in Essen (which is actually located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, not in Lower Saxony). It is situated close to the main railway station, shopping and restaurants. Parking is shared with the Moxy Hotel and available at EUR 15. The hotel is modern and has a large lobby area with comfy seating, part of which also serves as breakfast area. Our standard suite was spacious and clean and faced the courtyard, making it quiet and nice. Check-in was not up to usual Mariott standards, and we ended up in a smaller room than the corner suite, we had booked. However, we decided to stay in the standard suite, which turned out to be quieter, as it did not face the street. During our stay wifi was only available in the lobby area, which was really annoying. At check-out we were reimbursed by not having to pay for the parking. The breakfast was good without being great. The hotel is good, but the service we had did not meet usual Marriott standards.

ผผู้เข้าพักIch bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Wir waren aufgrund einer Messe zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Ich kann meinen Vorrednern hier absolut nicht zustimmen. Bei uns war alles in Ordnung. Das Zimmer im Haupthaus war sauber und gepflegt. Das Hotel hatte Probleme mit dem Fernsehempfang - darauf wurden wir vorher hingewiesen und es war für uns kein Problem, da wir die wenigste Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes im Zimmer verbrachten. Im Nebengebäude sollte das Fernsehen funktionieren - falls gewünscht hätten wir dorthin wechseln können. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und lecker. Frisches Obst und geschnittenes Gemüse, eine kleine Auswahl an frischen Brötchen sowie diverse Aufstriche und Beläge und vieles mehr. Als Milchalternative konnte man Sojamilch wählen. Der Service im Hotel war sehr freundlich. Ein kleines Manko - unser Zimmer wurde nach der ersten Nacht nicht gemacht. War für uns aber kein Problem bei nur zwei Nächten Aufenthalt. Eventuell haben wir hier auch einfach nur etwas überlesen und es war wirklich nicht inklusive. Vielleicht sind das auch Coronaregeln von denen wir nichts wussten. Aber wie gesagt... Für uns halb so wild. Das Hotel liegt super zentral - die Innenstadt, ein großes Einkaufszentrum sowie die U-Bahn ist locker fußläufig zu erreichen.

ผผู้เข้าพักHighly recommended. Hotel is next to metro station. Walking distance to Messe Fair, also have a lot of restaurants nearby. The rooms are newly renovated, free coffee and tea are provided. The common rooms/areas are excellent to meet business partners. I definitely will book this hotel in next year.

ผผู้เข้าพักโรงแรมอยู่ห่างจากสถานีรถไฟกลาง Essen เดิน 20 นาที ไม่ไกลจากถนนคนเดิน เดินไปได้ และที่จอดรถชั้นล่างของโรงแรมก็สะดวกมากเช่นกัน ค่าจอดรถคือ 17.5 ยูโร/คืน ซึ่งแพงกว่าเล็กน้อย ค่าจอดรถต้องจ่ายล่วงหน้าและไม่สามารถรับชําระเงินหลังการขายได้ คาดว่าอัตราเงินเฟ้อในยุโรปยังคงค่อนข้างแรงในช่วงสองปีที่ผ่านมา และรู้สึกว่าราคากําลังเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว และราคาอาหารและที่พักก็เพิ่มขึ้น

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.
