This hotel is amazingly cozy, it almost makes you not want to leave to explore the city. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, giving me tips on where to go (and which streets/areas to avoid). Breakfast was so fun, especially since I was often the only one there. The eggs were so good! The rooftop terrace is incredible, this hotel is a must stay for the rooftop alone. The neighborhood nearby is incredibly walkable (lots of hills though, be prepared), with tons of shops, restaurants, galleries, street art, funiculars, etc, everything is nearby. Incredible views. I recommend getting some ice cream from the nearby heladeria (3 mins walk) and eating it on the rooftop, taking in the views.
This place looked far better in the photos (on ***********). It is a large building and most clients seemed to be coach parties as well as a football team. The decor is dated, tatty and boring but okay. The staff are reluctant, and in the main, depressed. My room was okay. Clean enough but dull. I asked if I could have a room that overlooked the port. They said I'd have to pay an extra $28 US, as I had booked through ***********. I was already paying their top rate according to the prices posted in the elevator. Breakfast was surprisingly good although often the staff looked close to tears. Not a great experience. I had told myself to give myself a break and book this place rather than a hostel (most of which were more highly rated on Tripadvisor). I wish I'd gone with a hostel at a quarter of the price.
We loved our stay here! The hotel is well situated on the coast and it was wonderful to sit on our terrace and hear the surf crashing into the rocks. The indoor spaces are beautiful and well-maintained and the staff were kind and helpful. I took advantage of the gym and pools, including a free yoga class on Saturday morning. The hotel restaurant serves good food and we enjoyed the live singer performing on Saturday night. The hotel seemed to be much busier on the weekend than during the week, with people coming from all over to enjoy Viña Friday through Sunday. There are not really shops or other restaurants close to the hotel, but they can be reached with a 20 minute walk or short Uber or cab ride. Highly recommend this place! I’d love to return.
We had a super stay at Gala Hotel for one week, the time to find a flat in Viña. Room was super spacious, with a nice view. The cleaning was perfect and the staff super friendly. Don’t expect a luxurious hotel but at this price the value for money was excellent, with a buffet breakfast included. The location is also ideal, in the center of Viña, and very close to restaurants and groceries. Thanks again, we’ll recommend your hotel!
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights nights at this excellent hotel as part of our 2 week Chile trip. We arrived by car; parking was OK, with spaces just alongside the hotel on the street (not really a formal car park). An attendant waved us in and placed a sign around our car. Check in was easy, but our rooms were not together (although on the same floor). The setting is perfect: just on the seafront. Loads of nice restaurants close by. The rooms themselves are really nice: spotlessly clean & very comfortable. TV, safe, minibar with included water and costed cans of wine & beer. Small safe in the wardrobe & very spacious bathroom with shower. The hotel has excellent facilities with a very nice heated rooftop pool and gym. We tried them all. There's a bar with superb view up there also. Very much recommended.
creo conocer suficientes hoteles, resorts y demases.

LLaura TBeautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a fabulous view. The shower was amazing. We only had breakfast one day and it was great. There are a few bars and restaurants within a close walking distance. Valparaiso is a unique place, and the classic look and feel of this hotel was welcome. We enjoyed our stay!
AAlexeyA very stylish hotel, which completely met our expectations from its description on this site. Spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with the view on the hills of the city, there is a separate terrace below for those wishing to relax. Very welcoming and efficient reception guys arranged a very smooth check-in for is. There is also a private parking ground nearby (which is an important feature for the hotels located on the hills in this town), but the entry gate perhaps would now allow for the larger vehicles - please check it beforehand. The hotel is generally located upside down (because of the geography of the city) in a way that you are entering the high floor and then descending to the lower floors and there is a staircase leading down the main road (so in case of heavy luggage please ask for the help at the reception).
We loved this boutique hotel so much that we extended our stay a couple of days rather than return to Santiago. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and felt very calm after being outside in the (wonderful) chaos of Valparaiso. They have preserved the character of the old building very well and we loved the marvelous high ceilings. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terraza with incredible views of the harbor and surrounding hills. The location was excellent for walking all over Cerro Allegre and Cerro Concepcion. There were plenty of excellent restaurants nearby and when we didn’t feel like going out -the restaurant and bar on the hotel’s terraza opened on the weekend evenings. The staff were very helpful and friendly!
