โรงแรมใกล้หาด Joatinga Beach

Excellent location in the middle of Copacabana. It is a huge hotel but with great service. We got upgraded to front sea room which was awesome - amazing views. Room is little bit dated, but you only sleep there and all day out. Breakfast very good, constantly refilled and with fresh squeezed orange juice. Great roof top pool though very crowded except early morning.

Very friendly staff, nice hotel. I booked a suite for one night, the room was clean although it could use some refurbishing. One window didn't lock, so the noise from the street was constant. Located in a street with some stores, but not an area where you feel safe walking around. No toiletries included apart from s soap and shower gel/shampoo. Coffee machine in the bedroom with 2 coffee pods. I couldn't see a menu anywhere, assumed these were complimentary, as in most hotels where you rent a suite. I was surprised to be charged 1.5 USD per capsule on checkout, and that there was a QR code informing me of this in the room. I couldn't find it anywhere though. All in all, great staff, but there is definitely a much better price to service/location ratio than this hotel in Rio

This is an extremely impressive hotel i have ever experienced. The most impressive aspect is the service and Diego is a legend! Everything you need can be solved and managed by Diego super, professionally, systematically, precisely, prompt and warmly, just like magic and miracle. if I could score higher, I would have given triple so high as full score for Diego's service! I am really really glad to recall the days in this hotel!!!

O travesseiro era meio vazio e flácido. O ar condicionado de janela funcionava bem mas tinha aspecto de velho e durante a noite de forma aleatória mas com frequência baixa dava um estrondo. Café da manhã é ok, a cama em si era confortável e o chuveiro era quente. A região da cinelândia é central mas tem que ficar esperto em relação a assaltos na região. O Uber está configurado para não lhe deixar na porta do prédio que fica numa rua pequena, mas sim na principal que fica ao lado. O trajeto ali à noite pode ser perigoso. Tendo os devidos cuidados para que o carro entre na rua pequena minimiza esse problema. Com o uso do táxi rio esse problema é evitado principalmente na hora de chegar tarde. O atendimento da recepção é muito bom.

(คือทั้งวันเสียไปแล้ว ไม่ได้อยู่ห้องนั้น) ต้องอยู่ต่ออีกคืนและอีก 1 วันถัดไป วันเกิดของฉัน! ฉันไปที่แผนกต้อนรับ บอกพวกเขาว่าฉันมาหาคุณเพื่อฉลองวันเกิด ฉันเป็นสมาชิกของโครงการแมริออท และในเดือนแรกของปี ฉันใช้เงินไปกับโรงแรมของคุณไปแล้วมากกว่า 5,000 ดอลลาร์ (ฉันแสดงให้พนักงานต้อนรับดูและอธิบายว่าวันเกิดของฉันจะเริ่มในอีก 2 ชั่วโมง วันเกิดของฉันก็ใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว) แต่ (!) พวกเขาจัดห้องให้ฉันอยู่ชั้นสาม ซึ่งคุณไม่สามารถเปิดม่านได้ (!) เพราะมีคนเดินผ่านไปมาตลอดเวลาเพื่อจะขึ้นลิฟต์!! แม้กลางดึกก็ตาม! พวกมันส่งเสียงดังและสั่นสะเทือน ฉันรู้สึกไม่พอใจ จึงกลับไปที่แผนกต้อนรับและขอความช่วยเหลือเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์นี้ แต่ขณะเดียวกันฉันก็เห็นว่าห้องสกปรก! แม้แต่ผ้าปูที่นอนก็สกปรก!! ชายคนหนึ่งพูดจาไม่ดีว่า “คุณมีห้องประเภทคิงไซส์ ฉันทำอะไรไม่ได้หรอก ฉันจะหาห้องชั้นสูงกว่านั้นให้คุณได้” (จะให้ตรงๆ เลยดีไหม ห้องที่อยู่สูงกว่าและไม่ใช่ทางเดิน แม้แต่ม่านก็เปิดไม่ได้ ทำไมฉันต้องวิ่งไปถามด้วย!!!??? ฉันเคยถามไปครั้งหนึ่งแล้วว่าโปรดทราบว่าวันนี้เป็นวันเกิดฉัน วันเกิดที่ทุกคนให้ของขวัญและทำเซอร์ไพรส์ แสดงความยินดีด้วย!!! แต่ดูเหมือนว่าเขาจะไม่ใช่คนเข้าใจอะไรมากนัก (ซึ่งผมขอให้ไม่มีใครอวยพรวันเกิดให้เขาในปีนี้เลย) จากนั้นเขาก็เสนอว่า ”ถ้าคุณต้องการ คุณสามารถจ่ายเพิ่มและย้ายไปห้องอื่นที่มีวิวที่ต่างออกไปได้” !!!!! ฉันบอกว่า: ฉันไม่ต้องการ แล้วฉันก็จากไป (ผมก็อยากให้ผู้ชายคนนี้ได้ไปเที่ยวอีกทวีป อีกซีกโลก คนเดียว โดยที่ตัวเองออกค่าใช้จ่ายทุกอย่างเอง!) ตอนเช้าเป็นวันเกิดของฉัน ฉันนอนแย่มาก ไม่มีที่เก็บเสียง เสียงดังตั้งแต่ 6 โมงเช้า... และจนถึงเย็น ถึง 19.00 น. ฉันไม่ได้เค้กสักชิ้น การ์ด หรืออะไรเลย (แม้ว่าภายหลังฉันจะย้ายไปที่โรงแรมแฟร์มอนต์ ซึ่งพนักงานเสิร์ฟร้องเพลงสุขสันต์วันเกิดให้กับเจ้าของวันเกิดอย่างอบอุ่นขณะรับประทานอาหารเช้า!!! ดังนั้นอย่าเลือกแมริออทเป็นวันเกิดของคุณเลย!!! พวกเขาจะปฏิบัติต่อคุณไม่ดีเลย!!) ฉันเดินทางเพื่อฉลองวันเกิดของตัวเองเสมอ ฉันได้พบเขาแล้วมากกว่า 20 ครั้งในส่วนต่างๆ ของโลกและโรงแรมต่างๆ และนี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ฉันพบกับความจำเป็นที่จะต้องขออะไรบางอย่างและเตือนเขาว่าวันนี้เป็นวันเกิดของคุณ!!! ในช่วงท้ายวันเกิดของฉัน เวลา 19.00 น. ฉันจะไปที่แผนกต้อนรับและขอคุยกับผู้จัดการทั่วไปเพื่อที่ฉันจะได้บอกเขาถึงทุกสิ่งที่ฉันคิดเกี่ยวกับ JW Marriot ที่นี่ Timberly ย้ายฉันไปยังห้องพักบนชั้นสูงที่มีวิวทะเลเป็นเวลา 1 คืน ซึ่งผมก็รู้สึกขอบคุณเธอมาก และในส่วนนี้ผมให้คะแนนสูงในการรีวิว และผู้ชายคนนั้นที่เสียใจกับการอัพเกรดเพื่อให้คนนั้นตื่นขึ้นมามีความสุขในวันเกิดของเขาและใช้จ่ายเงินต่อไปในเครือ Marriot Bonvoy และไม่ตื่นขึ้นมาด้วยอาการหมดแรงตอน 6 โมงเช้าเพียงเพราะได้ยินเสียงเหมือนมีคนกำลังซักผ้าในอ่างอาบน้ำของเขา (เพราะในห้องบนชั้น 3 นั้นไม่มีการกันเสียงเลย ไม่มีการเก็บเสียงเลย!!!!) ฉันหวังว่าเขาจะโดนไล่ออก!!!

Foi minha primeira hospedagem em hotel, fui muito bem tratada do início ao fim. As instalações super novas e atemporais. Muito lindo os jardins, tudo muito bem cuidado. A comida impecável, os funcionários te fazem se sentir em casa. Super recomendo.

The location is great, however you should be aware that the you pay so much for the location and that's it. Standard double room is not spacious, with very small window. The hotel itself is far-far away from luxury, for Europe it looks like 2-3 stars, definitely not 4. The main advantage is rooftop, where you can see beautiful Copacabana beach from 14th floor. This terrace is open for every guest of hotel, even on New Year's eve for free. The service is poor: gentlemen on reception talked indifferently, barely understanding english. They even gave us misleading information: for example, one of them told I need to get up at 7:30 sharp to give belongings for laundry (and no chance to do it in advance or later), the second was sure that we needed to pay for New Year's dinner to have access to rooftop (he didn't know the word ”terrace”, by the way). Both were wrong. The breakfast was mediocre, with Fanta pretending to be orange juice and no vegetables at all, but with fair good cheeses and deserts though. The service in the bar is very-very slow.

I’d describe this hotel as utilitarian. No decor or warmth at all. The common areas are spacious and quite bare.Table and chairs at the restaurant are plain brown wood, The lobby is sparsely furnished with some worn , drab and very uncomfortable seats. Bathrooms are the same. Just the very bare essentials, not even a box of tissue paper ( and thin toilet paper) We travelled long hours,  arrived at 22:00 looking forward to a good shower …not to be. We were up for a bad start. There  was just a trickle of water not enough to bathe or properly brush teeth either. That could have been a whole area problem as we were told that water pressure can sometimes drop in some areas of the city. We changed rooms , water pressure  wasn’t much better the next day either, the water flow improved just a little and remained as such the whole week. We had paid for 5 nights and ended up staying as the city was packed that week . To go looking for another hotel during the G20 summit which Rio was hosting that week of November 2024 would not be an easy task.  On the positive side, staff was pleasant and accommodating, bed was comfortable and from our perspective, the breakfast buffet was the best feature of this hotel offering abundant variety of  food to meet all tastes- cereal, fruits and cheeses, cold cuts, several hot savory breakfast  dishes - incl. some Brazilian regional dishes as well, a huge selection of breads, cakes, good coffee, and more. Very satisfying. Including breakfast in the booking is highly recommended.  The good fare offered at the hotel at lunch and dinner not good at all. However, there are also three of four restaurants lined up on a small stretch within 5 min walking distance of the hotel- one of them is a very good authentic European Portuguese cuisine and wine. Aprox. US$ 52 for a meal for two. On the same cluster of shops there is a well established Brazilian cuisine restaurant with a good menu where one can eat well for anything  between US$ 12  to US$ 15 and a steak house similar to the Australian Outback steak house.  There are also other eateries snd convenience shops, a pharmacy on the same stretch ( 5 min walk ffrom the hotel) including a 24 hr laundromat where one can expect to wash and dry a load for about US$ 7.  As for location, this hotel is not close to the most well known districts of Rio - places like Copacabana, Ipanema , Leblon - but Barra da Tijuca is a special area in itself and arguably has the best beach in town. The hotel is just a 10 - 15 min taxi ride to Barra Shopping-  the largest and best shopping mall in the whole state of Rio de Janeiro where one can find anything,  including restaurants (recommend trying Jappa all you can eat Japanese food spread for US$ 26 as in Nov 2024). On the whole , when compared with the fashionable and pricey districts of Copacabana , Ipanema Leblon  this hotel is good value for money . I’d stay there again if they fixed the shower situation b’cause this feature matters for me.
