I was traveling thru on my way back to TX & stayed for 1 night. The room was ok for a night & was worth the price paid.
The check in was friendly and fast. The desk clerk offered some recommendations on where to go for dinner. The room was pretty clean, but there was an odd spot on the curtain that may have been mold. The room smelled fresh though. AC worked well & was quiet. Breakfast was the usual fare- cereals, toast/muffins & a waffle maker. No coffee maker in the room, but it was available down in the lobby & the breakfast room.
The area was more industrial than expected - not alot of restaurants or shopping nearby. There was an evicted/homeless couple hanging around out front, but they were eventually encouraged to leave the premises. There was alot of highway construction on I-10 that caused a lengthy and convulated detour to get to the hotel. As a result, I had to drive thru some areas of the city that I probably would not go thru after dark.
The mattress was too firm for my liking. I'm a side sleeper and tossed & turned most of the night. Left earlier the next morning as a result.
It was OK for a night, anything longer- I'd probably go over to Breaux Bridge.
