I really enjoyed my stay - I booked really last minute and I arrived and was greeted so warmly and with so much respect. The front desk staff were kind and funny and respectful - everything you hope for. The room itself was perfectly clean. I really loved the bedding - it was that old school high-end hotel bedding which you don't find so much anymore. I just loved it. Fantastic service. Fantastic room. Thanks OneHotel La Paz.
We stayed for 28 days in January and February, the experience was very good. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. Our room was very nice only downside was that there was no nice view from the windows. The room was clean and spacious, housekeeping did a good job throughout our stay. Dining room staff were very pleasant and always helpful. Unfortunately I became ill suddenly and had to seek medical help, Rueben the manager went out of his way to contact a doctor and took me to the doctors office at 8.30 at night, he then waited and took me back to the hotel. Then the maintenance man Jose took me to the Pharmacy for prescribed medication. I could not have thanked them any more for their quick response to my issue. The hotel is a short walk from the Malecon and at least 40 restaurants. The roof top restaurants was nice and the food was good, the breakfasts were okay. Nice view of the city from the roof area, nice place to relax with a drink and good book. The biggest downside was the constant barking for the dogs in neighboring properties, they always started barking at night time, some nights worse than others. Once again thanks to all the staff that helped us during our stay.
Lots of Mexican hotels in the last 20 years, but this one is a bit different. As usual, cons first, then pros Con: Grounds need work A bit pricey for $ 1600 mxn per night Shabby internet The worst thing is the reviews aren't bad for La Posada, but the managements replies are HORRIBLE towards reviewers. Those reviews are there to help travelers & hopefully alert the staff for improvements. Instead, those are met with childish & unprofessional replies. Seriously inappropriate Pro: Nice staff on duty Views Baths/shower pressure Clean Quiet Nice King beds Parking (abet limited) Mini fridge Excellent desayunos Last note. Advertised as having laundry services. Do NOT use $300 pesos for a 4kg load vs 125 ANYWHERE in Mexico , including 2 blocks away.
Way over my expectations, booked 2 king bed rooms, very spacious. hotel location is closer to the famous Balandra beach, lobby and pool area is beautiful, free breakfast is fresh, tasty, and many varieties. Will recommend this to friends and will use this as our base if we comes back next time.
559274843Always a positive to pick a property with good housekeeping which this hotel provides. Booking a sea view room will also add to your stay. Good location on the Malecon with several nearby places to visit. Helpful & pleasant staff throughout the hotel & garage parking is included in the rate. Only 2 small criticisms: a) Upgrade the Lobby decor. The hotel is nicer than the impression given by the Lobby appearance; b) Caution the bartender in the rooftop bar about the music volume. This room offers a beautiful bay view, but loud, pounding music like a Sports Bar, caused us to leave after 1 drink. It is a loud hotel if there are late guests or children, which is like many Mexican hotels with concrete ceilings, walls, floors & NO noise-reducing attempts, but the hotel itself is pleasant, clean & well-staffed.
