This is NOT a 5 star hotel. The location is perfect for the old town, but it is soulless, reception did nothing but check us in, we had to ask for tea and milk - no additional information at all. If you want to watch anything on TV after an exhaustive day of sightseeing make sure you download onto a tablet - there are NO English channels at all. It is very clean though, but you may have to ask for extra pillows as we were only given one very thin pillow with a small decorative one which we had to use to have any kind of comfort. There doesn’t seem to be any kind of reception hub at all - it felt more like an air B & B and considering the price would have worked out much cheaper. The breakfast should you want one is very expensive - coming in at around £18 per person - what you can get in Krakow for £18 is impressive so shop around.

What a delightful hotel. We were very happy with our choice, The location is perfect. Located in the Jewish Quarter, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants and it is an easy walk to the Old Town. The rooms are comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The beds comfortable, and the shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast had a great selection of both hot and cold things. We actually really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff was friendly. We have no complaints at all. Yes the furniture is a bit worn, maybe a paint job would be nice but remember the price you are paying. The salt grotto was under renovations which was disappointing but that wouldn’t have changed us staying here but if that is what you are coming for, maybe check. We would recommend and have no hesitation about staying here again. Loved it!

This was our first time visiting Krakow , what a great city you have , everyone was so friendly. We visited so many restaurants , all the food and service was excellent. We tried local foods and local drinks , again all great quality. We did all the tourist places but somehow missed the castle so we are going to have to return for that . Now onto the Venetian Hotel , on arrival we checked in with ease , very friendly desk staff , no issues checking in. We got to our room , it was very clean and spacious with the added bonus of a fridge , hob , kettle and provisions , everything we needed. We had a balcony which was a bonus. Each time we left and returned we always got a hello. Again , all staff we encountered were friendly and smiles all around. On our last day ( 20/09/24) we checked out just before 11am. The young lady at the desk was extra helpful , double checking out airport transfer for us then stored our suitcases in the back room whilst we did some last minute sightseeing. On return our airport transfer service was late and the same lady made a few calls and our lift arrived. It was this lady that told us about the castle , we have no idea how we missed it , lol. Apologies to this lady i cannot remember your name but hope she sees this , thank you very much. All in all we had a great time at your hotel and in your city. 11 stars out of 10 to the Amber residence team! Thank you first of all to Gabriella who literally saved the day for us after arriving at our first accommodation which was anything but suitable. We arrived feeling very let down however were soon welcomed with a big smile, really looked after and soon all previous negative aspects of arriving in Krakow, were soon diminishing. Our accommodation at the Amber was comfortable, incredibly clean (immaculate), cosy, boutique style and we loved it all. The team could not do enough for us and this really makes such a difference. There was luxurious extras too such as coffee pods with a nespresso machine in our room (we love coffee!!), a fridge, fully function kitchenette, sauna, gym, iron, safe, a microwave if we wanted…and hob!! - the list goes on. Monika also special shout out and her colleague on the days we were greeted by them who were so helpful in getting us to the train to get to the airport. Truly, we really felt looked after and we cannot thank you all enough. We hope to be back where we know we will be welcomed! Thanks again all, you are amazing!

The old building with a high ceiling, modern furniture and amazing location in the middle of old Krakow were only for one night for us , but with unforgettable emotions. Special many thanks for a receptionist Mrs.Barbara . She helped to decide my problems with a booking and to buy tickets to out next trip . My recommend

I seriously have nothing bad to write about this hotel. As soon as you enter the reception you are met with amazing smells and decadent furnishings. They have got everything spot on. The rooms are pure luxury and spotlessly clean. The first night we ate in the hotel and the food and service were 5 star, the food exceeded our expectations. As our dinner was a little late we were offered a free drink and to be honest we were so relaxed we hadn’t noticed that we had waited a while. The spa is lovely and relaxing. The only thing we didn’t rate was the breakfast choice, but we found an amazing coffee shop round the corner. I will be recommending this hotel as it really is a gem

Great little hotel in an excellent location, everything was within walking distance and if you don't fancy walking Ubers are very cheap as the hotel is so near all the main attractions. Room was lovely and clean, beds very comfortable. It's safe to walk back at night and very quiet, apart from a medical centre across the road which can despatch ambulances at night so there was an odd siren. Reception and breakfast staff were polite and efficient and although we requested our room not be cleaned as it wasn't necessary we thought the housekeeping staff when meeting them in the hallways were the most friendly. Breakfast had a very good and varied selection of cold and hot food. We were disappointed there were no baked pastries any morning, just a few shop bought brioche but the bread and rolls were freshly baked and delicious so we were full afterwards. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for location, comfort and value for money. If you don't like big busy modern hotels this is the spot for you.
