Most unhygienic hotel I have ever stayed in, definitely not 4 star. We had the last villa on the opposite side of the road to the actual resort, number 910, and they said housekeeping was until 4pm, everyday it got to 4pm and our room hadn’t been cleaned so we had to chase them up via WhatsApp as there is no phone in the rooms, then they would send someone to ‘clean’ which meant they would only sweep the floor and make the bed, literally took then 5 mins. After 6 nights our bed hadnt been changed once even though there were marks on it from a spilled drink, they just flipped the duvet over thinking we wouldn’t see it, they hadn’t changed our coffee cups, just left used mugs on the side for 4 days so we whatspped them again and they sent the cleaners back and they finally gave us fresh bedding, swept again and mopped for the first time in 6 days, they didn’t clean the shower at all, grime and build up all over the bathroom including the toilet seat. So many fruit flys constantly in the room. We only had 2 more nights so we thought we could deal with the dirt, so we went to the shops, were gone about 20 mins and came back to fresh rat droppings on the bedroom floor. We whatspped again and asked them to send the manager, we got a knock on the door and it was the maintenance man with a stick and a torch to get rid of the rodent, I asked him if he was manager and he said no so I whatspped again and then got told the manager was at the night market and left her phone at reception so didn’t know how long she would be. An hour had passed and they offered no solution so we waited at reception, another hour later 4 employees pulled up, I got told Nong was the manager but when I spoke to Nong she told me the manager isn’t here and was in Bangkok, when I explained the situation to Nong she laughed in my face and said no refund. We demanded contact with the manager so Nong called the manager and through Google translate we heard her telling the manager that we were only trying to save money, when we told her we aren’t trying to save money she said I didn’t say that I said you was asking for a refund but she looked embaressed that we caught her out. They didn’t offer us a new room until we demanded a refund and by that point we didn’t want to be there another second, after she spoke to the manager again we got offered a 3 day refund as ‘we didn’t complain when we first got there’ well there wasn’t rat faeces on the floor when we first got there. Nong and Snow the two ladies on reception were so rude to us and couldn’t care less about our problems, this took 4 hours to ‘resolve’ and we have now checked into another hotel. Please do not waste your money on this hotel, we were refused a taxi to the nearest cash point earlier on in our stay because it was ‘only a 15 minute walk’ which turned out to be an hour round trip mid day in over 30 degree heat and they also refused us a taxi when we left the hotel with all our luggage so we had to walk and get one up the
