We had a very good experience at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal. The rooms do not a have mountain/valley view, but the surroundings are pleasant and photogenic. Our Heritage Suite was a spacious and comfortable room. Less natural light in this room. However, we saw some other rooms with good sunlight, nice wooden furniture. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, good authentic south Indian delicacies, different each day, with some common items like idli, dosa, medu vadas (best medu vadas- small, light and crispy!) A different sweet dish everyday (varieties of sheera). Dinner was good. Should have some fixed staple items always, like dal+rice. But whatever was served was good. Hospitality: always responded well on time whenever we placed a call to ask for something. Staff is good natured, always smiling and helpful. Reception is very helpful. We requested booking of sight seeing and cab services and promptly the cab was ready each day, on time. Wifi is also good. Thank you for giving us a great experience at Kodaikanal! We had a pleasant experience staying here. Clean, spacious rooms and great quality food. The building is old but it’s been renovated and has an old school charm to it. Our room on the basement floor had all the amenities required and was in good condition. Great value for what it costs.

Excellent experience. Giving 4 stars due to hot water is not that hot and boiler system and timings would be difficult for everyone because we came here to spend time with family without any thinking.So, I would expect there should not be any restrictions for having hot bath. Food was awesome. Rooms are also awesome.

Had a good three night stay. The staffs were polite and the room was neat and good. The buffet was too good and worthy breakfast and dinner with the package. Overall all pleasant stay. The hospitality is very nice .Hotel Jai the best hotel in kodaikanal.Hotel ***ager,and services are excellent, overall excellent stay Chandra Mouli Bangalore

Everything is good only for Food ,there are very less amount of variety is food.. One day masal dhosa is there then poori is not there , if plain dhosa is there then masala dhosa and poori not there..

Highly recommended. Our stay s***d service was top notch. Great breakfast and we got complimentary dinner as well. Comfortable parking and the property is close to the lake. I would recommend for domestic and international travellers as well.

It was truly a pleasant stay for our family at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal, 23-25 Oct.2022 - our family trip during Diwali. Both the family rooms 207 and 208 were nice. Hotel staff at all level / section were cooperative and polite. It was pleasant surprise for all of us when Hotel ***agement gave us and all the guests staying there, Sweet Packets on 24th Oct. the Diwali Day and not only this the owner Mr.Jai personally met each and one at Restaurant and wished Happy Diwali. The breakfast and dinner are also of very good quality. WE HAVE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT HOTEL JAI, LLOYD'S RD, KODAIKANAL 624101. RAMESH PUROHIT PUNE MAHARASHTRA

Cons : 1. Bad toilet and bathrooms are very old 2. Breakfast should include egg items and staffs should encourage us to go and take food. Otherwise we will think like they are not happy with us. Pros: 1. Its near to lake and one can easily walk to hotel. 2. Staffs are very helpful and cooperative
