The Four Boutique Hotel

First off, this riverside hotel has rooms with balconies something i personally love . The Food (we had the bf and dinner included in our package) (hats off to the chef) and was absolutely OUTSTANDING! All the staff were smiley, courteous, kind and extremely obliging. The rooms and property are clean and well kept . The bathrooms were my only disappointment. Although I will say this ,they were clean well stocked and always had running how water . The design of the pot to shower arrangement was not comfortable. Especially for middle of the night loo runs . I would have also liked more plug points in the room. Overall a good experience

This hotel is located just outside of town and across the river. A new bridge is under construction and when it is completed, it will be easier to walk from the hotel into Punakha. The employees at the hotel were all great. Very polite and helpful. Even though there is no elevator, the ladies carried all the suitcases up to our rooms. The A/C worked great in our room (205), and we had a nice view of the river. Upon check in, we were cautioned that we might need to wait 15 minutes between showers for the hot water to refresh, but we never had a problem because we conserved water during our showers. Wash cloths were provided and there was sufficient counter space for everything. However, the bathroom was oddly designed with the toilet almost sitting in the slightly sunken shower stall which resulted in the bathroom floor getting quite damp after showering. There are also many electrical switches in the room so it was confusing on what lights each controlled, and there wasn’t much of a reading light while in bed. Our upper floor room had what sounded like a water pump on the other side of the wall or above which ran frequently during the morning hours. Our window curtains were also too thin to sufficiently darken the room.

It was a neat and clean resort with good facilities. The food was very good and specially reasonable. The staff was courteous and were very helpful. The location was right next to the river so the views from the balcony were very pretty.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my travel group. Average hotel with no elevator so the staff (women) lug your bag up many flights of stairs. Breakfast buffet was nice. The view from the hotel, up the valley and river, was beautiful. The staff were very helpful.

The rooms were dirty with spider webs everywhere, the second room that they were gonna give was the same too. Later they upgraded us to a suite which was clean but my point is what if the suite wasn’t available? is this how guests ahould be treated? the dinner was ok but breakfast was terrible !

As we arrived they greeted us with welcome drink. As it was my 40th birthday they upgraded to suite room. Room was very spacious, with sofa, dining table, & jacuzzi also river view was the highlight of the property. Food was amazing whatever we asked they instantly provided. Best staff i met in bhutan. From house keeping to chefs everyone on was so humble. Only drawback it was far from market but in taxi you can reach in 40 rupees

Staff were very nice and pleasant. Room was good but bathroom was very small and not functionnal, there were leakage from toilet and shower was not convenient at all. Breakfast was served in very large portion (wastage) but without local touch. At night we better crossed the bridge (5 minutes walk) to dine in town.

We are glad that we stayed in this hotel. Everything was great. The hotel was impeccably clean. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed in the room. The buffet table in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner had a larger selection of food. We are vegetarians, which the kitchen staff took great care of and provided us with the delicious food. The staff were the best part of the hotel service - they definitely deserve 5 stars for their work. All the hotel employees were always smiling. We felt that there was not only a professional host-client relationship - we were treated with the highest level of respect and benevolence. Thank you for everything!
