My favorite hotel in Nepal! The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and cooperative. The hotel features a lovely pool and a beautiful garden with stunning views. It's one of the most impressive heritage hotels I've stayed in. Plus, its location is great—it's a hassle-free and easy walk to anywhere, with the busy Thamel street just 10-15 minutes away. You won’t regret your stay, it's definitely worth every penny!

Great hotel and very friendly staff always readt to help. Breakfast is a better quality and diversity than other hotels with fresh egg counter where they do it ad per your wish. The best is the tranquility of the location within the busy buzz of Katmandu.

This was my second time after long long years. Swimming pool was clean. Breakfast and amenities need a little better. Staff are very organised and friendly. Will come again.

On this special day, I chose to check in at Shanker hotel. The warm service,delicious food and quality environment,everything is so good. The hotel prepares decorations and cake very thoughtfully, surprised us. Due to the late arrival time, the hotel also thoughtfully provided me with dinner order so that could enjoy it when we arrived. Finally the food upexpectedly delicious. I recommend you to choose Shanker hotel. Wherever it’s a vacation or celebration it is best choice.

smell bad Its good thing they already give noticed about maintenence but the chemical they used was too strong and so difficult to breath if possible don't give room next to maintenence area overall it was good experience food was good and had good time

I stayed at the hotel on Christmas Day, and the breakfast was a special Christmas version with an amazingly generous selection. They even offered complimentary hot wine, which was a lovely surprise. However, since the hotel facilities are a bit old, the hot water supply could not keep up when all four of us showered. We had to space out our showers, so a little planning was needed.
