Good hotel

트립닷컴에서 숙소 결재를 하였으나 호텔 측에서는 결재가 되지 않은 것으로 되어 있어 혼선이 있었다. 결국 호텔 측에서는 시스템 문제로 결제를 하지 않아도 된다는 답변을 듣고 체크아웃을 하고 돌아왔으나 아직까지 deposit 금액이 환불 되지 않고 있다. 트립닷컴에서 예약된 건 들에서 이런 현상이 반복되고 있다.

We have stayed at other Marriott chain hotels and each one has been above satisfactory in our opinions. Southbank Hotel Jacksonville Riverwalk was good but did not quite measure up to other Marriott's. Front desk customer service was amazing! Very nice and helpful. Self parking felt a little sketchy. Valet my be the best option at this location. The room we stayed in could have used a little bit more effort in cleaning. There were obvious stains and marks around door handles and wall spaces that could have been wiped down. I wiped down door handles and obvious marks that made it feel a little cleaner. Stray hairs on the bathroom floor. Beds felt like maybe memory foam that needed to be switched out? We had some laughs when I dropped down to sit on the bed and it was very firm and flat. We only needed the room for one night so we were okay and made due with the room. We slept good and felt safe. Again, these are just our opinions and we compared it against other Marriott hotels we stay at. We would stay at this location again only for the front desk staff and their friendliness. We will not stay again due to what we felt about cleanliness. We've paid less during high seasons at other hotels and they were excellent! Overall we still enjoy Marriott's and will continue to stay and check out other Marriott hotels. Thank you front desk for being amazing!

We booked a room at this property to attend a Jaguars game on NYE. The price of the 3 night stay was affordable, especially for a holiday weekend. The hotel is about a 6 minute drive to the stadium. Upon our arrival of the property, the valet attendant greeted us and was very nice-- made the process of unloading the car and getting the car taken care of a breeze! Karl, at the front desk, checked us in and was very pleasant! Positive attitude, happy, and easy to chat with. The entire staff at this property are PHENOMENAL! Everyone from the bartenders at Southbank Johnnie's, the security officers on site, the front desk attendants and the housekeeping staff. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, professional and hospitable. I truly felt safe and comfortable staying here! I have stayed at plenty of Marriott properties in the past, and I will say, the room itself does not meet Marriott expectations. Starting with the room itself-- the furniture and the decor is outdated. The furniture had a lot of dents. It could be much more modern and fresh. The sheets/bedding were very soft and quite cozy! The bathroom-- the water pressure in the shower is great! However, the water seems to stay warm and never truly gets "hot". We were also never provided wash cloths until our last day. We spent a lot of our time in the lobby. The bar/restaurant, Southbank Johnnie's, was great! The food was 10/10!

I enjoyed the decorations and the friendliness of the staff. It was a great stay. Also, the food was amazing!

The only thing that makes this hotel worth the price is the location. Being on the river with close proximity to the riverwalk, water taxi, and walking distance to shops/food is a big convenience. The lobby and bar area (bar staff are super friendly and provide great service) are very ornate and extra but beyond that there is little appealing about the hotel. For the price you pay, the room is very bland and unimpressive. Outlets that don’t work, bedside lights that don’t work, the shower head was hanging off the wall and had layers of silicone trying to hold it in place, and the flattest pillows you could ever find. Inside the hotel is designed in a way that you can see HVAC ducts hanging from the ceiling if you’re on the hallway on any of the upper level floors, and the amount of mold built up on the ducts is insane. Shows the lack of attention to detail this hotel places in their cleaning .. I know it’s HVAC ducts but if you’re going to have them showing as part of your design keep them clean. The parking is advertised as valet or self parking but fails to tell you that it cost $12/night for you to self park your car ON THE STREET. There is street parking available behind the hotel where I was instructed to park after paying $12/night. This hotel is a rip-off and gets by by coasting on the one thing it doesn’t control.. location.

I checked in at 530pm… to wait 30 min to actually check in due to rooms not available because they weren’t cleaned. There were 7 ppl behind me waiting to check in also with no clean rooms. 1 awesome guy checking us in doesn’t work when there is a function (football game) going on the next day. You know how many rooms have been rented prior so why not have the support staff? The room did not have river views as booked. Also the comforter had off white/yellow stains on it. I went down and asked for a new comforter to which that couldn’t happen. They moved me to another room which I lost my king bed and any view besides the ac units on top of the building. I didn’t shower for 2 days because I didn’t trust the housekeeping. Gross is an understatement.

We stayed here to be close to the football stadium for the Gator Bowl. Location was great. Had a water taxi to us to and from the game. Restaurant in the hotel was great to eat at. Lounge /bar area was inviting and fun. Room was comfortable, updated, clean and quiet. Highly recommend this hotel.
