Location : super private, very clean and very well kept. Staff service : friendly, attentive. Shout out to Rudra, Pika, Afiq, and their kitchen crew Wani. they say that the people is the heart and soul of the brand and it reflects immensely in the boathouse. Even the director of operations took his rounds to walk and chatted us up. Thank you Thevan. Room : very new and clean tho sound insulation is abit of an issue. But it’s all good. Internet : good and stable. This part of the island cuts off coverage if you have a local sim. Amenities : For now, it’s just jungle tracking with ATV or island hopping/diving. What can be improved : 1. perhaps more upbeat music at the bar area for people to let loose. 2. weekends when there are more people, a fire performance or a light show/drone or something. So that there is a slight group entertainment. 3. Pier could be abit more lighted to see the sea during the night.

พนักงานเป็นกันเองมากและช่วยเหลือเราทุกอย่าง พอมาถึงก็มีผ้าเช็ดตัวและชุดชั้นในใช้แล้วจากผู้ไม่ประสงค์ออกนามอยู่ในห้องน้ำ พนักงานทำความสะอาดให้ทันที แต่ก็ยังรู้สึกแปลกๆ อยู่บ้าง วิวก็สวยงามมากเช่นกัน ตอนกลางคืนเงียบสงบมาก แค่ไม่มีที่อื่นให้ไปนอกจากหมู่บ้านและน้ำตก หรือจะเลือกแพ็คเกจที่เสนอให้ก็ได้ สำหรับคนที่ไม่ได้ดำน้ำตื้น อาจจะน่าเบื่อหน่อย แต่ฉันก็รู้สึกผ่อนคลายที่ได้หลีกหนีความวุ่นวายในเมือง อาหารเช้าควรปรับปรุง ถั่วอบและแฮมในวันแรก (27/7) มีกลิ่นเหม็นและไม่สด อาหารบางอย่างเสิร์ฟในอุณหภูมิที่ไม่เหมาะสม หอคอยเปลวไฟก็ไม่แย่และเพียงพอสำหรับ 2 คน อย่างไรก็ตาม ฉันเชื่อว่าอาหารทะเลสดกว่านี้ได้ เพราะราคาไม่ถูกมาก และใช่ ฉันชอบห้องอ่านหนังสือมาก เป็นพื้นที่ที่ดีที่จะทำกิจกรรม! 😍

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&J Tioman Dive Resort on Tioman Island, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, it was clear why B&J has built such a strong reputation among divers and travelers alike. One of the first things that impressed me was the cleanliness of the accommodation. The room was well-maintained, comfortable, and spotless throughout my stay. Housekeeping standards were consistently high, making it easy to relax after a day of diving and exploration. The resort grounds were also kept clean and tidy, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment that reflected the professionalism of the entire team. What truly made the experience special, however, was the people. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was assistance at the reception, advice on local activities, or help with dive logistics, the team always greeted guests with a smile. The dive instructors and divemasters deserve particular praise. They were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Tioman’s underwater world. Their enthusiasm was infectious and helped create a fun and relaxed atmosphere both above and below the surface. As a diver, I greatly appreciated the balance that B&J strikes between enjoyment and safety. Every dive was well-organized and professionally conducted. Safety briefings were thorough, equipment checks were carried out carefully, and the dive guides remained attentive throughout the dives. Despite maintaining high safety standards, the team ensured that the dives remained enjoyable and memorable. Their familiarity with local dive sites allowed us to maximize our underwater experience while feeling secure at all times. It is reassuring to dive with professionals who clearly prioritize guest safety without compromising the fun and excitement of exploring the reefs. Another highlight of staying at B&J was the abundance of delicious food available nearby. The resort’s location provides easy access to a variety of eateries offering local Malaysian dishes, fresh seafood, Western options, and refreshing drinks. After a day spent underwater, it was wonderful to have so many excellent dining choices within walking distance. The combination of great diving and great food made every day on the island something to look forward to. Overall, my stay at B&J Tioman Dive Resort was outstanding. The clean accommodation, warm and friendly staff, professional dive team, strong safety culture, and excellent food options combined to create an unforgettable holiday experience. I would not hesitate to recommend B&J to anyone visiting Tioman Island, whether they are experienced divers, new divers, or simply looking for a relaxing island getaway. Thank you to the entire B&J team for making my trip so enjoyable, and I look forward to returning again in the future.

Petit coin de paradis…personnel très agréable et réactif. Nous y avons passé 4 nuits en famille. Le chalet est un peu vétuste mais fait l’affaire pour quelques nuits. Endroit très intimiste avec peu de personne donc parfait pour quelques jours au calme. Le village le plus proche est à 20 minutes à pieds en passant par la plage ou 15 minutes en passant par la jungle. À faire si on souhaite manger ailleurs qu’à l’hôtel. La nourriture est bonne mais au bout de 2 jours on fait le tour de la carte. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel et cet endroit pour une totale déconnexion de quelques jours.

We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left. Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening. Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!

I loved this place. While rustic, the room and shower are decent and functional. I especially loved the hammock on the balcony and spent too much time lazing on it. With the amazing sea view and breeze, and very laid back vibes, it's really hard not to. No need to spend time in the room. Amazing and accommodating hosts; they try their best. We're very appreciative. Thank you, guys!! We got the air con room and did not get mosquitoes. Yes, walls are thin, so no hanky panky.. ;p Yes, there was loud music from an open bar at the other end of the chalet. We managed to sleep through the night regardless. The loud waves drowned most of the sound. Will defo come back here if we're heading this area again. Some tips: 1. Do bring bathroom slippers/flip flops for comfort 2. Do bring a hanging toiletries case as there is no place to put your toiletries 3. While I ended up not needing them, I still brought mosquito coils with me

Если думаете брать отель или нет, то берите не раздумывая! Очень приветливый персонал, все расскажут, покажут. Хорошие завтраки по типу шведского стола. До океана 1 минута. Причал в шаговой доступности. Если хотите заняться снорклингом, идёте влево до камней и изучаете подводный мир. Хозяева дали каяк по очень привлекательной цене на целый день. Домики уютные с кондиционером. Кровать удобная. Но в домиках нет стекол в окнах. Только деревянные ставни. Соответственно, их не открыть с кондиционером без которого очень жарко. Готовитесь жить со включенным светом постоянно. Ещё над домиком было дерево, с которого периодически на крышу с грохотом что-то падало. Но это было редко. А так все очень понравилось!

Great environment. Relaxing and doable. Great Sunrise except for occasional overcast. The beach is white. The size of the room is comfortable. Beds are big. The deluxe room has a small balcony which leads to the swimming pool and dining hall. The room is not the cleanest. Saw some baby cockroaches running around the bathroom. The pillows are way too soft. The Aircon power is very weak Occasional power trips. There are a few dive shops along the way. Good selection for divers who wants different experience diving around Juara. Food prices are average. There is a roti canai shop mia cafe. Which sells out out very quickly. Be on time at 7am if you want to try it.

Wij verbleven in een kamer voor vier. De kamer was ruim genoeg, maar de muren zijn zo dun dat je letterlijk alles hoort van je buren. De omgeving is zeer charmant, de kamers zijn zeer basic maar dat is ok. Alleen wel jammer dat je voor dezelfde kamer het dubbele betaalt omdat je er met vier in ligt ipv twee. Algemeen is de eigenaar te zeer gericht op het geld dat hij kan verdienen, en dat probeert hij ook totaal niet te verbloemen. Voor alles moet je bijbetalen: de wasmachine gebruiken, handdoeken voor op het strand.. Het personeel lijkt niet vriendelijk, misschien vooral doordat ze geen Engels spreken. Maar ze steken ook geen enkele energie in non-verbale vriendelijkheid. Het ontbijt is ok, wel zeer basic en voor een langer verblijf vooral monotoon. Wij hebben wel genoten van ons verblijf, in de eerste plaats door de prachtige omgeving.
