We were told that the hotel was Okinawa's best - At least it is the most expensive. A 9-day stay cost us the same as a month's tour of Japan. It is okay to pay for luxury if you feel you are getting value for money. Here, however, there are both outrageous prices and very small drinks - it mostly feels like a scam. The cola (800 yen for a tiny glass) tasted bitter and (after complaining several times) turned out to be from a can that was far too old. The pool is constantly closed for maintenance - yet the pool is full of dead insects and crabs. The pool closes at 6 p.m. – completely crazy in a hotel that was supposed to be the setting for a beach holiday. There is nothing else to do here. It is difficult to see why one should not bathe in the evening. In addition, there are 1000 rigid rules. You must not jump into the water from the edge (not even on your feet) You must not use the paradise sandy beach for swimming (only within a small fenced area) Tattoos are not allowed in the pool. You get recommendations about every little issue from the diligent lifeguards. Not suitable for children! The cafe by the pool is only open from 12 to 4 p.m. serves lousy food at insanely overpriced prices. Bought some chiken nuggets which only consisted of pure fat! Got an apology - but the bill was still charged. The food in the buffet is the same every day. Yesterday there were 3 pieces of rotten cucumber in the salad bar. (again: got a big apology – but still full price) the food selection is quite limited compared to the crazy price (8000 yen for a dinner). As I said: I don't mind paying money for a luxurious holiday - but this place is a con. It is not a hotel that we would recommend to anyone.

I stayed here for 4 days as it's situated in the middle of most of the attractions i was going. Location : good. It has some good restaurants down the road (approximately 5-10mims drive) besides, it's easy to access to the rest of the places. This hotel is approximately 1.4km away from the place to take glass boat bottom. Food : breakfast was fantastic! I would say it's a great selection of food, but not wide. They rotate the breakfast daily. So you wont get bored of eating the same everyday. Room : spacious with nice sea view. We requested foe higher floor and also sea view. So our room was 814. It's spacious enough to put two huge luggage ard. Carpeted flooring. And they also offer 2 types of bedroom slippers. Facilities : there is a laundromat at the basement. No money exchange machine. So would need to change with the receptionist before washing. Souvenir store at level 1 sell great stuff. From food, to clothings, to mask. There is also an activity center which you can book to snorkel etc. would recommend to go early and book ahead as it seems to quite popular. Unfortunately, they didn't have a slot for us, so we didnt manage to try. Service : Average. The receptionist are not very friendly. They tried their best to offer the help, but i think their service can improved better. Maybe a bit more warmth smile and gesture may have make this a pleasant stay. But, breakfast service staff are very nice. There is this particular lady, that would greet us happily and she is also fast in keeping the place clean. Despite that she is busy, she will still give her best to service everyone. I like her! Carpark : hotel carpark is limited. So if you happen to return late and the carpark is full, you may need to park opposite. There are 4 carparks available. The only directly opposite the hotel is carpark 2 , there are also carpark 3 & 4, which is not very faraway. Especially weekend, the hotel gets really full as there would be Japanese flying over for short break. This hotel seems to have revamped. So the room looks new and comfortable. So, i would recommend this hotel for 1st timer as it's relatively affordable and also convenient.
The resort itself is beautiful. View of the ocean abound, two gorgeous pools, lots of space to walk or drive your resort-assigned golf cart. Here are the pros, cons, and MUST KNOW information. ****MUST-KNOW INFORMATION*** -The resort offers a rental car with room to people coming from out of the country. Do not make the same mistake we did. GET YOUR INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENSE before you leave your home country. It is easy and cheap, but once you leave home, it is impossible to get this. This resort is REMOTE, so if you cannot drive, you will spend a lot of cash on taxis to get anywhere outside of the resort. -The closest city/town in Nago, which has great grocery stores and restaurants. Highly recommend bringing some food with you or buying food off the resort property, in order to save a bit of money. The cheapest dinner option is approx. $45 per person (not counting if you want a glass or beer, sake or wine). -When you choose a room, it is NOT worth getting the highest priced Beach Condo unless you are coming with a large group and want to share one room. The beach condos offer less modern accommodations with no coffee provided and they are not necessarily as private as they seem. The pool offered is small and shared by 4 units - one of which has a huge window right in front of the pool. PROS: -Very professional and excellent service throughout the resort. We particularly enjoyed the staff at the buffet dinner restaurant. There were some international service members (Jersey from the Philippines provided STAND-OUT customer service with a smile) and spoke perfect English. -Incredible free breakfast! Hard to describe, but you can see some of this in the attached photos. Both American (eggs, pancakes, tater tots) and Japanese (rice, miso soup, tuna, sea****, steamed vegetables) traditional breakasts, many beverage options (iced/hot coffee and tea, juice, soda, water), and even options for kids/infants -If you have children under 5, this is a place that will cater to your needs. Most of the people at this resort are young couples with infants and toddlers. We even saw a family eating dinner with a full-on pack-n-play next to their table, so their baby could sleep through dinner. It is amazing. We did NOT see anyone breast-feeding publicly, but there are spaces provided to do this out of view of other guests. -The swimming pools are gorgeous and very-well cared for, as are the grounds. If you golf, you'll love the opportunity to hit the course while you are here. CONS: -If you do not speak any Japanese, you will find it difficult to communicate with staff. Thankfully one of us speaks and Google Translate is also helpful. -REMOTE - there is nowhere you can walk to from the property. No stores or restaurants within biking or walking distance. Make sure to have a car if you want to get off the property. -LOTS OF RULES - Japan is a rule-based society and this property is no different. Pools are open limited hour
ผผู้เข้าพักWe just stayed 4 nights at the Onna Resort, the house looks exactly as the photos. The space is beautiful and the ocean is right in front of your porch. It has beds and amenities for 12 people but I think since there’s only 1 bathroom it can only accommodate 6 people maximum comfortably (there are 2 toilets though). The kitchen is functional and has all the basic necessities. Some small things are missing, like rags and seasonings, so be prepared to get your own. It was great being able to do laundry with the washer and dryer, and there are plenty of hanging spaces in the rooms.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stopped by at Nago for a night on the way to the aquarium. The room is clean and has all the basic amenities provided by a business hotel. Food options are also available, but most shops closed at 5pm. We will stay here again, no doubt, as we arrived late and this hotel is near to some places of interests which we did not visit due to timing.
