This was my fifth stay in eight years at the usually brilliant Simbad. The staff are all lovely, particularly restaurant staff and cleaners. The breakfast buffet is extensive, the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is modern and clean and the view is incredible. We have kept coming back - including a visit with 15 friends last year for a special birthday - because everything has always been great. Until now. It’s no exaggeration to say our holiday was ruined this year and we will think twice about returning again. The only issue is the bizarre pool policy that seems to allow countless non-residents to use the facility whenever they wish, despite a sign saying the pool area is exclusively for the use of guests only. What should be an oasis of calm and restfulness looking out over the beautiful Talamanca bay is now ruined by scores of people who aren’t staying at the hotel using the pool. In a response to another review complaining about this, the hotel director replied seeming to imply there’s nothing they can do about it as the pool is on public land. Maybe something there is lost in translation - I don’t see why someone couldn’t operate an entrance gate to control numbers and noise. The problem was bad during the day while we were there, but particularly awful during the afternoon/evening from about 4-8pm. The pool used to close at 6pm, which seemed odd but maybe this helped, as it’s now open well past 8pm. I appreciate this complaint may sound petty or entitled, but I simply think that the pool should be for the use of residents only, in line with any other hotel I’ve stayed in all over the world. Unfortunately the current situation sees people turning up in droves, failing to use the showers and jumping straight in the pool. I twice saw babies with their nappies being taken off on sun loungers then put into swimming attire without swim nappies, then going straight into the pool. The noise level from children screaming, shouting and repeatedly jumping into the pool is totally unacceptable and not only punctuates the calm around the pool area but also across the front of the whole hotel, including the lovely bar and balconies. The pool area capacity is stated as 40 - yesterday evening I counted 32 non residents, the day before there was 22 children in the pool. You can see from the website it’s a very small pool area. At one point this meant there wasn’t enough loungers for residents and being around the pool was akin to being at a kids club throughout the evening. This isn’t the usual and understandable sound of a few children playing in a swimming pool on holiday, it’s like a whole classroom of children all set loose at the same time There was even a visible divide with residents at one end of the area, as far away from the noise as possible, and everyone else at the other end. My friend and I had the best stay at the standard Ibiza. The room was great and so was the location, but really what set everything apart was the level of service. Everyone has gone out of their way to make us feel welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Special mention to Barbara and Younes. Thanks for such a wonderful stay, great tips and all the recommendations and bookings you did for us! We can't wait to be back!

Just a quick 2 day trip for this stay. Hotel is close to the airport with a bus just a couple of euros which drops you a short walk from the door. The hotel is newly refurbed to a simple but stylish decor. Room was immaculately clean. Reception / check in is very simple and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is very dated and extremely simple. Based on the cost per night and if I were being very picky I’d say it could be made more appealing. Although there are several food options available and all very nice to actually eat, it just looked a little unappealing at first glances and a bit ‘sad’ in comparison to the other places I’ve stayed for the same type of price. A few dirty cups, plastic glasses that type of thing.. Location is great although really steep and hilly with steep steps a plenty!! The hotel has no elevators either so wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Close to the Old Town, bay and there’s a boat service to Formentera which I would highly recommend. The water is crystal clear! The bus was 4euros return from the port to the beach and the ferry was around 30euro (we booked online although you may get this cheaper at the port side). All in all a very nice stay. I’d come back for a very short trip but if I wanted a week or more I think I’d aim for something a little easier on legs!

(บริการนานเกินไป) ในตอนท้ายของพิธีกรรม เซิร์ฟเวอร์ขอให้เพิ่มการเพิ่มโดยบอกว่าทะเลทรายจะตามมา 5 นาทีต่อมา ฉันขอขนมจากเชฟของห้อง และเธอก็พูดขอโทษ: ”ครัวปิดตอน 10.00 น.” ฉันสังเกตเห็นว่าถ้าครัวปิดเวลา 10:15 น. ทําไมพระศพถึงมาถึงเวลา 10:15 น. และโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งทําไมไม่มีใครเตือนเราเกี่ยวกับการปิดนี้ เราจ่ายค่าอาหารที่ไร้ค่า

We have just returned from a week holiday at this hotel as a couple with a young 7 month old baby. The hotel is lovely and we really liked the pool and outside bar area. There were plenty of sun-beds and never too busy which was great for our little girl to have a crawl around. The drinks were good but on the pricey side when compared to other places close by. I would say the clientele was mainly couples but with a young baby it was a really great hotel. All the staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I see on previous reviews about rude members of staff but we had the opposite experience and found all the staff lovely! The hotel is in a great location right on the marina with a number of bars and restaurants very close by. We also walked to the beach one day which was a nice cove if you turn left out the hotel you can walk along a coastal path to a bit of a quieter beach which was lovely. We had a sea view room which was nice- slightly small with the travel cot up but plenty of room for what we needed. Breakfast was nice with lots of selection- previous reviews have said about the breakfast being cold but we didn’t have this problem. Can’t comment on food in the evening as we stayed in bed and breakfast basis and went out for evening meals to the plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Overall we would recommend this hotel and thank all the staff for a lovely first holiday away with our baby :-)

Probably the best value property in Ibiza, comfortable, clean, welcoming, helpful and a great breakfast. Location is excellent for a beach holiday, close to Cala Nova, Es Canar and Cala Martina beaches. Highly recommend. Catch number 24 bus from the airport and stop right outside the hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location, if you’re looking for a beach experience, it has its own private entrance to the beach, the rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday thoroughly. Definitely encourage one to add the breakfast and dinner option to their bookings, as they have a large variety of dishes to pick from, buffet style, and they change the menu intermittently. Would definitely stay again

The best hotel i have ever stayed. Choose all-inclusive option. The pool is spacious and the hotel ambiance is rather chill and relaxing, which I really liked. The staffs are very attentive. There's a drinking water station/purifier at every floor and you can refill the water bottle - this was the best part of the stay. Had an amazing time!! Highly recommended.
