Sehr schönes Hotel! Das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, perfekt sauber und ruhig. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Das Frühstück wartet mit allem auf, was das Herz begehrt, und das in sehr guter Qualität. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam. Und zu meinem Geburtstag stand sogar eine Überraschung auf dem Zimmer. Ich bin öfter mal in der Gegend und werde sicher wieder hier übernachten.

Wir waren das 1. Mal in diesem Hotel. Gebucht haben wir die Suite inkl. Halbpension, Parkplatz und dem Obstkorb. Die Suite bestand aus einem Schlafzimmer und einem ”Wohnzimmer”. Das Wohnzimmer war ganz nett, mit einer Schlafcouch, einem Sessel, Sideboard und einer Designerlampe ausgestattet. Ausserdem befand sich eine Espressomaschine und ein TV in diesem Raum. Die Größe des Raums, war schön angenehm. Im Schlafzimmer hatten wir ein Doppelbett mit 2 Matratzen, was wir so nicht kannten, aber es hat uns nicht weiter gestört. In diesem Raum befand sich ebenfalls ein Flat-Tv, ein Tisch mit Stuhl, sowie ein Sessel & ein Schrank. Aus beiden Zimmern hatte man Zugang zum großzügigen Balkon. Das Badezimmer war ausgestattet mit einer Dusche, einem Waschbecken mit einem langen Waschtisch, einem Fön und Pflegeprodukten. Das WC befand sich neben dem Badezimmer in einem seperaten Raus. Man konnte sowohl das WC, wie auch das Badezimmer aus dem Wohnzimmer aus erreichen. Das einzige was uns gestört hat war, dass man nach dem Toilettengang die Räume wechseln musste um sich die Hände zu waschen. Aus hygienischen Gründen (das anfassen der Türgriffe beider Räume ohne Händewaschen), hätte man hier seitens des Hotels etwas anderes machen sollen. Der Obstkorb hat uns positive überrascht. Das Obst war für uns mehr genug und vor allem war alles frisch. Im März bekamen wir: Äpfel, Birnen, Kiwi, Mandarinen, Physalis und Trauben. Sehr nett hergerichtet in einer Glas-Etagere. Ganz verstanden habe ich die Extrakosten für den Parkplatz nicht, da jeder Gast einfach auf dem Parkplatz parken konnte. Das hätten wir uns wohl sparen können. Zur Halbpension (beinhaltete ein 3-Gänge-Menü das der Koch aussucht, oder Büffet, so wurde es uns am Telefon kommuniziert). Als wir am Abend dann das Restaurant betraten, hat man uns die Entscheidung genommen, in dem uns mitgeteilt worden ist, dass es heute kein Buffet gab. Was es als 3-Gänge-Menü gab, wurde uns vom Kellner vorgelesen und mit einem ”OK?” nachgefragt, aber eine Auswahl, wurde uns nicht angeboten. Daher verstanden wir die Nachfrage nicht. Das Essen war aber gut. Die Ausstattung, sowohl vom Restauant, als auch vom Hotelzimmer war sauber, aber ”altbacken”. Ca. 90er Jahre (?). Was aber keinen Abbruch tat. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und für eine Übernachtung war es vollkommen ok. Besonders loben müssen wir hier das Personal am Empfang. Egal wann und wie oft man die netten Damen angesprochen hat, sie waren immer sehr nett und sehr freundlich! Das einzige negative, dass und als Nicht-Raucher sofort aufgefallen ist, waren die Raucherzone direkt neben dem Eingang. Dann stand da gerne mal ein Grüppchen Raucher. Als Nicht-Raucher bekommt man das sofort ab. Alles in Allem waren wir zufrieden und können das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen!

I stayed in one of the suites on June 5th through 7th. Sadly the room was not ready by the time of arrival, not at 3pm and only around 4 pm did I gain access. After a long day on the road that is not what one was hoping for and the silly excuses or the complementary drink did not help one bit. The hotel is a wonderfully restored old Burg with interesting art and furniture which makes for an eclectic, but winning mix. There is an impressive looking old style restaurant, an attraktive center bar with neat sitting and an open fire place and a spacious outdoor terrace. Some parking is in front of the door. The suite was carefully restored leaving many of the beautiful original elements with touches of the new. However when entering there was sweltering heat and a strong smell of sewage permeating through all the rooms. The first flaw, no air conditioning. If the heat is unbearable on a June day what about the middle of the summer? That puzzled me. The smell originated probably from the free standing bathtub trap which, rarely used, most likely did not seal properly. The sink in the bathroom although stylish was impractical as there literally was no space to put anything needed down. One had to spread out the toiletries all over the bathroom. Very inconvenient. Other than that shower and furnishings were of good quality and gave the suite a nice appearance. The bedroom was in style and bed and mattress were conducive to a good night sleep (thankfully the heat dissipated with an open window but in exchange allowed for street noise). The complementary breakfast was generous and offered many choices. The staff in general proved competent and pleasant. Over all this could have been a wonderful experience if the a/c, smell and room readyness would be improved

We dont have anything negative to say about the hotel. Everything was working very well. The hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Service in the reception is good and all of the facilities are working as they should. Absolutely no issues on that part and considering the price, then it is an absolute bargain. We also visited the restaurant at the hotel and that was on the other hand a disaster. It was quite booked on the day we visited, because of some corporate event. This resulted in the waitress being a bit stressed, but it was still handled very badly. We waited half an hour to get the menu. After that we was informed that some of the courses couldnt be served, because they were out of different things, but we got an option to order one burger, which was not served on the homemade bread that normally was served, but on some cheap bun from the supermarket. Considering Covid-19 we also observed that menu's were just delivered from one occapied table to another - without any cleaning - and after we had observed that one guest had been licking their fingers between every side swap in the menu. Disgusting and in the current covid situation absolutely not acceptable. In total. 5 star for the hotel. 1 star for the restaurant. Would happily go back to visit hotel, but the restaurant visit was not acceptable.
