We were here for an ABGA goat show at the fairgrounds. It was nice to have a hotel so close to the show. Would stay here again.

Convenient and close to the College; easy access to restaurants. Skimped on bath soap; very comfortable bed; good air conditioning. Floors could have used better cleaning.

This is a convenient hotel of average quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast area was clean and well stocked with a variety of items, and the room was clean. The location is convenient to stores and restaurants. The fitness room needs upgrading and only had a working treadmill, the exercise bike was not working and the weights were limited, and the room was in need of a fan and very hot. Air conditioning in the hotel halls seemed to always be set on high so it was very warm. The air conditioning in the room worked well but the towels hanging up did not dry, so it was humid. The fan in the bathroom did not seem to function but made noise like it was working. The shower curtain did not fit the tub so water on the floor was a constant issue. The guest laundry machines were limited but were in good condition and cheap. Some road noise in the room as it is right on a busy highway, but the room was dark at night with the blackout curtains. Overall a decent stay.

I recently stayed here to be close to where I service breakrooms ahead of a snowstorm. Bad idea! Instead of getting sleep I got to hear fighting, shouting and slamming of a hotel room door, and saw a bug crawl across the bathroom floor. The continental breakfast if you want to call it that was awful. Needless to say I'll be giving my business to the Dow Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of Hillsdale College. It's pricey but at least it doesn't feel like a bunch of drug ******* stay there.

The Hillsdale Days Inn is just about "The Only Game in Town", but they've been putting in some needed upgrades and need to continue the process. The pool needs to have earlier hours so that one can swim early morning laps and the exercise room needs a complete overhaul/upgrade. However, for the money and lack of alternatives in town, they do a pretty good job. Theresa and Krista at the front desk are friendly and work hard to help the guests.

We found bed bugs on our 2nd night. The staff was not accommodating to help us fix the problem. She took all of the bed bug infested sheets and through them in the room with all the laundry, clean and dirty. The manager the next day was not apologetic and I had several corporate phone calls to receive a refund.

Bad review woke up by staff playing music then lied about it. Staff was playing music very loud at 2:30 in the morning and I had to beat on the door to get her to stop. Then went to front desk and she lied about it and said no music was playing. Manager was contacted and did nothing about it.

Stayed 5 days, between 8/17 - 8/21 to drop off my Hillsdale college-bound child. Stressful stay - Not a pleasant experience. In particular, 1. we found bugs. 2. The carpet was filthy and smelled of damp and mold. 3. Not sure when the A/C filter was cleaned. 4. The second-hand purchased 'pull out' couch had more coils than mattress! Does not qualify as a bed. 5. After a 16-hour drive the front-desk argued about a roll away bed at 11:30PM. We slept on the cold filthy floor every night. 6. No maid service in the guise of 'saving energy' and still took a day for the maid to empty overflowing trashcans. Woke up with headaches and backaches. Asked for a different room - the first night - and told we had to pay extra. Here is the manager's response to my note, post-stay. " I am sorry about your experience. I know you were upset about not getting a rollaway but that is safety policy. You never requested another room . Nothing was even said at check out. Safe Travels. Julia Gambill GM" We have four years of campus visits and we will avoid this place like the plague. My suggestion: Please drive even if has to be 50 miles. Better than the filth. I will also make sure to advertise this with the Hillsdale College Board and parents organizations.
