โรงแรมเล็ก ๆ ที่มีเสน่ห์ตั้งอยู่ในทําเลประวัติศาสตร์ที่สวยงามและไม่เหมือนใครในใจกลางเกาะ Mdina พนักงานน่ารักและช่วยเหลือดี ห้องพักของเรามีห้องนอนขนาดใหญ่นําไปสู่ห้องสวีทห้องน้ํา มีบันไดที่นําไปสู่ชั้นลอยพร้อมโซฟาและระเบียงพร้อมอ่างน้ําร้อนซึ่งเราเพลิดเพลินกับทิวทัศน์อันงดงามของเกาะ ประตูระเบียงต่ํา แต่ก็ไม่ใช่ปัญหา อาหารเช้ามีมากมายผ้าลินินที่บริสุทธิ์และพนักงานที่เป็นมิตร ร้านอาหาร trattoria ปิดในระหว่างการเยี่ยมชมของเราเราไม่ได้รับประทานอาหารที่ร้านอาหารมิชลินสตาร์ ยกเว้นอาหารเช้า มีร้านอาหารระดับสูงใน Rabat ใกล้ ๆ เดินไม่ไกลเราชอบเยี่ยมชมมาก โดยรวมแล้วนี่เป็นโรงแรมที่หรูหราและเงียบสงบและเรารู้สึกยินดีที่เราตัดสินใจพัก วาลเทตาและจุดชายฝั่งอื่นๆ สามารถเข้าถึงได้ง่ายโดยรถประจําทางหรือแท็กซี่ (Uber /Bolt ทํางานด้วย)

This was a nice B@B, although for some reason I was expecting more hotel luxury given the online reviews. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was also good, showers good, towels not that absorbent, no bath., bed and pillows very good. The breakfast had to be pre-ordered (to a given time) and the selection was not that extensive. There was no option to cook your own toast. Coffee was from a push button machine and on the cool side. The location of the hotel was quite good, down from the main square and close to both catacombs and Mdina old town. Also close was Maltas extensive bus route terminal. From Rabat it is about a 20 min bus ride to the capital of Valletta. There is also an airport route. The hotel has a pool and vending machine, unsure if it provides meals other than breakfast. My main ‘beef’ was that the cleaning service was quite intrusive, for example would go to breakfast at 7.30 (earliest time) and would return to find the cleaner in my room (no DND sign was available), she even took it upon herself to fold my clothes I had left to dry. They also discarded bottles that I wanted to reuse. ( when I book a room I like to think I can put ‘stuff’ where I want and not have people move it). However overall the accommodation is good, particularly for its location. I stayed for 6 nights, think 2-3 would have been ample as there are many other properties on Malta that are similar yet in diff. locations. (get to experience more of the island).

Superficially this hotel appears quite stylish but on closer inspection it is starting to show signs or wear ie in just our bathroom there were holes in the tiles that scratched our feet, a filthy rusted toilet brush and a a lock that didn’t work. The air conditioning was ineffective- so much so that our children overheated in their part of the family room as there was no air conditioning in there and subsequently had to sleep on floor of main room. The cleaners also left all sorts of items outside our room like ladders, buckets of dirty water, dirty towels which didn’t make for an enjoyable experience each time we left our room. Pool was pretty but tiny and hugely overcrowded which made it quite unpleasant and we couldn’t use indoor pool as local children having swimming lessons! The worst part were staff who seemed sad and depressed and virtually none of them spoke to us during our 2 night stay. The worst part was on arrival when I was berated for booking our 16 year old as a child. I had done this through a booking platform so it wasn’t my fault but the receptionist would not listen and was incredibly rude saying I should have paid more! Not the best welcome. Food was very overpriced so are in lovely local restaurants. Parking terrible and you have to park streets away which isn’t made clear!

ก็พอคิดว่าเสียดายไปแค่คืนเดียว ห้องอาหารเมดิเตอร์เรเนียนภายในรีสอร์ทไม่ค่อยอร่อยเท่าไหร่แต่อาหารเช้าอร่อยมากๆ เป็นเมนูบุฟเฟ่ต์อาหารเช้าแบบอังกฤษ (เฝอ,เบคอน,ไข่ ฯลฯ) และยังมีเมนูอาหารเช้าแบบตุรกีนิดหน่อย (แฮม,ชีส,มะเขือเทศ,แตงโม) พนักงานเป็นมิตรและสิ่งอํานวยความสะดวกดี~ ไปเที่ยวบุจิบาใกล้ๆ ก็ดี

The best thing in this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are decorated in a unique style (obviously they are new). No wardrobe but you can ask for extra hangers. They have daily cleaning as well. Iron and ironboard , full amenities like shaving, vanity even comb, free water and wine when you arrive. If only they can fix the lift function better then the hotel will be perfect!

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Struttura nuova nulla da ridire in merito. Servizio : frigo bar VUOTOOO nemmeno una bottiglia d’acqua, kit cortesia bagno inesistente ☹️ciabattine neanche a parlarne. Se rimangono con questa politica misero, dopo aver preso una Camera Superior vista mare e pagato un botto, mi aspettavo qualche servizio in più. Colazione ottima.

Great service at the reception and in the restaurant at breakfast, but the spa was a bit disappointing. There was no water placed out to hydrate after sauna for example, and they sent us to buy from the restaurant. The staff in the spa, well, not all of them were very kind. And the arrangement of the spa is strange. For the sauna we had to go one floor down, making wet everything and come back if we wanted to swim again. Otherwise everything was great.
