Great location, arrived Tuesday afternoon for Graduation Ceremony at Waikato University, had dinner 5 doors down, perfect for our plans, great room, clean, comfortable, we booked the family suite, road noise wasn't a major problem, hotel car park was convenient, overall, good value for money.
We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay at this property. We haven't been really active on Accor brands as we are top tier with Marriott Bonvoy. But our recent stays across several Novotel locations will make us consider building up more stays with them.
The room was really clean and spotless. The beds were so comfy to sleep in, and the bathroom was so clean, and the shower pressure was perfect. Customer service was also very professional overall 9.9/10
The hotel is about 2.5km from the Hamilton train station. We took a taxi from the train station, and the driver charged us NZD25. My booking confirmation said that the check out time was 11:00, but the hotel insisted it should be 10:00 which is fine. The booking confirmation clearly say that breakfast was free, but the hotel tried to charge 13 pp. Hamilton is a nice place which is close to Waitomo and Hobbiton.

Overall, the experience was positive. However, it would have been beneficial to be informed in advance that the check-in office is located offsite, requiring approximately a 4 minute drive from the main premises. This information would have streamlined the arrival process.

Motel itself doesnt have its own reception but checkin is at different motel which is 2-3 minutes away. The only disappointment we had in our stay was the cleaners turned up well before 10 am, knocked on door and straight away entered into room while we were in there to question when are we leaving. Very disappointed with this approach of cleaning staff and they should not walk into room at all without consent. Management needs to set some expectations with cleaners. Apart from that all good.
