"We stayed here when we got married in Haarlem. It is a perfect location, close to airport bus, train station and city centre. The hotel looks very nice and so did the room. The living room is a handy addition for coffee and tea and relaxing. The fresh cookies and boterkoek were a nice touch. There were a few things that made this experience a bit less great. Firstly, we arrived late and would have loved to have dinner at the beautiful looking restaurant. Unfortunately, it was completely booked. It would be nice if they could reserve a spot for guest staying at the hotel (or email about this). Secondly, we had the ask for room service and new towels. Thirdly, the room itself (Presidential suite) could do with a make up mirror with dedicated light. The atmosphere lighting in the room is really nice but the lighting makes it really difficult for make up wedding preparations. There is neither a tall mirror which we would have benefitted from. Lastly, where our family staying at another hotel received a personal card regarding them staying for our wedding, we didn't receive anything. It would have nice to receive a personal greeting and some little flowers in the room about this being our special day. Just a personal touch to make this experience even more special."

"I would go out of my way to return to Hotel 1635 in Haarlem again! Everything was amazing down to the details. Staff, breakfast, the room. It exceeded expectations and then some. Super amazing location in central Haarlem so it’s very easy to access the beach, Amsterdam by train or to grab a drink in town I’d recommend it to all who will be visiting Haarlem:)"
