Location undeniable convenient. Main entrance from hotel turn right less than 5 minutes to jiaxu pavilion. Turn right walk down straight for around 5 to 8minutes to reach Qingyun market .lots of food areas/shops around but mainly their local specialties.Sour fish soup,noodles ,stir fries etc. The hotel has been around for around 20 years or so.Tge decor looks similar to offerings from the late 80s to 90s. Service is very good as evident of the Sheraton lineage.However the dated feel and horrendous central air conditioning puts it a notch down. With offerings nearby that has upped tge game these past years.The management should look seriously in some areas such as decor and added lighting features specially in the rooms .(lights at lower section of bed to light up pathway at night). Breakfast was well stocked and timing was especially good.up till 10.30am. The best feature this Hotel has is the staff.Improve a bit more especially on the air conditioning and I believe market share loss will improve. Overall it's a relatively good stay.

An old style 5 star hotel, with a grand lobby and lots of beige marble and wood, and this extends to the rooms. The hotel is in a good central location and easy to walk to places in the city, and restaurants are within easy walking distance (just a few minutes). Staff were friendly and helpful, even when some struggled with English, they still tried to help. I mentioned that the decor is beige and dark woods and this makes the room feel dark, especially the bathroom. Perhaps it was the time of year, but rooms were cool, even with the air con turned off. The shower pressure was excellent though the inability to adjust the height of the shower head was a negative, especially for people who are not 6 foot 5 i.e. most people. My biggest problem with this hotel is with the breakfast. If you're a westerner and you want a good hearty western breakfast then this hotel is not a good choice as the food seemed to cater more for local tastes and for the masses at that, i.e. it seemed more like a tourist breakfast. There was a lack of western food with only fried egg (no other choices and if there were, the unfriendly chef seems to be on auto pilot and only made fried eggs), baked beans were covered in water and not tomato sauce like most bean should be, and the bacon looked fake an unappealing, in fact, they looked like the boiled or steamed variety and not the crispy fried ones which most westerners would think of breakfast bacon. There were some things which they tried to pass off as crinkle cut chips, but again, they looked boiled and covered in chili powder. Their selection of breads and pastries look so unappetising with only a croissant and the sausage filled pastry on offer and some dry donuts. I've stayed in lots of 5 start hotels in China including local brands, and this was probably the worst breakfast I have ever had. They also just had 2 types of tea bags, I think the Sheraton should be able to do better. On my last morning, I also noticed a waitress wiping a used table mat instead of replacing it with a fresh one which is what I would've expected from a 5 star hotel. To conclude, if you don't care about breakfast, then great, but if breakfast is the best way for you to start your day, then avoid.

last year they had no ev charging, now they have 3 Tesla chargers. As first time users with Tesla chargers, this was very difficult to set up but sadly the hotel staff could not help, and then it was relatively expensive.

Great location, good value for a 5 star hotel. Walking distance to 甲秀樓and shopping mall The hotel provides good breakfast. Highly recommended hotel for visitors.

Staying at this hotel represents great value for money. The buffet breakfast is large and caters to international tastes and the swimming pool and gym are excellent. We had a large room in one of the upper floors with a great view over the pagoda, the city and the surrounding hills behind. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the concierge went the extra mile to help us find a bar to watch a European football game. I would definitely stay here again

Awful hotel. Run down n curtains in tatters. Aircon doesn't work. Complained 3 times during 4 night stay. Staff said couldn't adjust aircon to lower temperature because it is central aircon. This is absolute nonsense. No other hotel has this problem. Central aircon just set down too much by hotel to save electricity at cost to customers comfort. As such room thermostat can't work. Room too hot to sleep for all the nights we stayed there. Common areas of hotel like corridors n lounge cooler than room. Room aircon also very loud. Will think twice before booking another sheraton again even though I am a marriot member.

Excellent hotel and beautiful lobby. I was here for 4 days and enjoyed the long swimming pool everyday (almost 25 m long). Location is great, close to People Square and a couple of minutes to an alley of restaurants and various eateries in the other direction. Breakfast buffet was very good. The only thing I did not like was the type of music that was played in the breakfast area, it would be more suited to a late afternoon Happy Hour or to a night lounge… something a bit more relaxing would be wished for. Other than that, I loved this hotel. Very good value for the price. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and in perfect location. We loved being so close to the river and having a view of the pavilion. It was easy to access everything. The hotel itself was very clean and modern. The executive lounge was disappointing, but that would be the only drawback, as it had no view (a wall that blocked the view despite being on a top floor of the hotel) and the food was limited. The room was spacious and had a large tub, which was very nice. The bedding was very comfortable, and the staff was very attentive. The breakfast was fantastic and even had an egg bar, so I was able to get a made to order scramble. Overall, it was a great hotel to stay at.

Good location. Walking distance to tourist spot 甲秀樓. A lot of authentic small restaurants nearby. Easy transport to high speed railway station Guiyang Bei. Hotel staffs are friendly. Room facilities are a bit dated, but overall good.

The hotel location is quite good, and I appreciated the excellent service from Pink at the reception. If the hotel is targeting business travelers or aiming to shine the brand as part of the Sheraton group, it should put more effort into the Club Floor service and food quality. The food felt very local and was not presented attractively (it looked like typical local dishes). The breakfast area also lacked sufficient manpower — the dishes were not cleared for half an hour until I had to find a waitress to clean and remove them. The room size is good, and the gym facilities are in good order too. Thank you!

Location is convenient for shopping and main sights in the city centre. The TV doesn’t work properly. Quality of buffet breakfast is below average. The only friendly staff was the doorman. The view from my room is quite pleasant at night.

Pool was full of classes, room was clean and good service, yummy breakfast

This hotel was older than the hotels I had stayed in previously. The room didn't have usb or Hong Kong electricity outlets. However the room was perfectly maintained and I didn't notice any cigarettes smell at all. My family and I enjoyed the stay very much.
