We were thrilled to have celebrated our daughter Noelle’s wedding at the Landhaus Koller in July, 2023. The charm of the old-world hunting lodge/historical hotel against the backdrop of the Alps made our guests’ trips from across the United States and Europe worth the effort. Manuella and her staff were more than gracious and attentive to our every need. The festivities, the celebration, dinner, dancing and cocktails (with the customary midnight wedding serving of delicious goulash) went off without a hitch because of their attentiveness. We breakfasted on the charming back balcony/porch on a wide assortment of fare that will please both European and American tastes, with a view that will never be forgotten. We dined at Landhaus Koller both in group meals as part of the wedding package and ordered off the menu for a Saturday night meal as well. Every meal was delicious, with special commendations for the soup courses. (We threatened to break into the kitchen to steal the recipes.) Every room we visited was spacious and clean. Our particular room and at least one other (maybe more) had a balcony that seated two or three, and which offered the same breathtaking mountain view and overlooked the pool as well. The pool too was spotless and surrounded by lounges and chairs that beg the guest to take a dip and relax. The surrounding Alpine lakeside towns are beautiful and filled with interesting shops and restaurants. It was easy to see why our daughter and our new son-in-law chose this as the location for their wedding after having visited there a few years ago.

My husband and I spent a few days at Landhaus Koller during a vacation in 2019, when we were newly dating. We loved it so much that we chose to get married here four years later, even though we live over 8,000km away. This peaceful corner of Austria is unlike anywhere else we've been, and we wanted to share it. The Kollers were so kind and helpful as we planned our event remotely. We knew from experience that the food and hospitality would be top notch, so we trusted Manuela's and Gottfried's suggestions, and we're so glad we did. Every detail of the weekend was beautiful, intimate, and perfectly executed - exactly what we hoped for. If you are thinking of hosting an event here, don't hesitate! Our guests rented out most of the rooms at the hotel, and all of the rooms were well equipped and immaculately clean. If you can swing it, the rooms with balconies are extra special. As a wedding treat for ourselves, my husband and I rented the top floor "tower room." It was so spacious, more like a one-bedroom apartment, and the views were incredible. I know other reviewers have already raved about the food and the beautiful location, and for good reason - they are outstanding. But another thing that sets this hotel apart is the staff: from the owners themselves to the kitchen, dining room and housekeeping staff, every person is so warm and welcoming that by the end of our wedding weekend, they felt like part of the family. However long you stay at Landhaus Koller, you'll wish you could stay longer. Thank you, thank you to Manuela and Gottfried for taking such good care of us and our family this summer. We hope to be back soon!

Amazing old world Hotel with grace, charm, beauty and authenticity. A super staff and management who truly understand customer service and care. They go above and beyond. The cuisine is outstanding…we loved our stay here and hope to return for a longer stay. Magnificent.

Of all the places I stayed in Austria, this was my favorite hotel. The staff were attentive, the food was good, the views were stunning. I love this region so much and this hotel was such a nice place to visit.

We missed the late check in time for our booked hotel and ran into this gem in the dark before midnight. We were pleasantly rewarded with a gorgeous view and warm hospitality in the morning. What a pleasant surprise! absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

Beautiful views. Fairly close to the lake, by car. Spacious room. Bed was a little unusual, in that it was essentially two twin beds pushed together to create one larger bed. Dinner was very good. The Topfenstrudel we had for dessert was possibly the best dessert I've had in my life. The back patio at breakfast with the Alps in the distance was amazing. Staff was friendly (although turns out if you want a dinner reservation it's better to make a note of that when you make the original hotel reservation). Nice selection of fruit and yogurt and various proteins for breakfast. We loved it, would definitely go back. Views alone were worth the price.

We spent one night at Landhaus Koller. A stately building, very well maintained, with excellent cuisine that I wished we had more time to experience. We only had breakfast and dessert there. It is located a bit off from the very touristy Hallstatt lake area, which is a very big plus. The surrounding area is a charm and picture perfect, just like one can imagine Austria and its landscapes.

This property is exceptional. The family still runs the property which was a hunting lodge fit for aristocrats yet very warm homey and authentic. The views and sites a short distance from the pro are amazing. We loved the pool and fabulous breakfast. This property is just amazing as are the people running the operation.

The Landhaus Koller was a beautiful place to stay. It is in a quiet town with amazing views all around. It has a porch on the back that overlooks the pool and the mountains in the background which is an amazing seat for breakfast and dinner. The bus stop is close with transportation to Hallstatt, Salzburg, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back.

This hotel was the perfect base for my recent adventures hiking, biking and doing via Ferrata in the area. Everything about the stay was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and communicating in English was smooth. Manuela did everything possible to make my stay perfect including organising early coffee and a sandwich for my 5am adventures on the last day. The food was amazing, with a few different options for dinner each night. The five course meal meant that the hotel was excellent value! My room was small but pleasant. I was happy that there are single rooms available as, as a solo traveller, you often have to pay for space you don’t need. Amazing views from every angle, a swimming pool and a cute donkey next door! I hope I get to visit again one day.

We recently spent a week in the Saltkammergut region exploring Saltzburg, St Wolfgang as well as Gosau where Landhaus Koller is based. We enjoyed every minute of our Austrian trip, but there was something special about our stay with the Kollers that I cannot quite define. The hotel with its many period features from the early 1900s is a delight in itself. The views of the rose-tinted peaks of the Dachstein mountains during dinner add to the sense of magic and combine with the excellent cuisine conjured in Herr Koller’s kitchen to make for unhurried evenings spent on their outdoor terrace. Fires are lit around the grounds for those who may want to extend their time outside and this contributes to the sense of warmth and bonhomie that characterises the Kollers brand of authentic Austrian hospitality. Everything is presented beautifully and perfectly and yet one feels very much at home here. This is a perfect base from which to explore Hallstatt and the rural idyill that is Gosau, scramble up peaks like the Grosse Donner Kogel and swim in the jewel of a lake that is the Vordere Gosausee. But you can just as easily stay in all day, relax beside the pristine swimming pool, watch the donkeys frolic and dream of dinner. Whatever you do, Manuela and Gottfried will ensure that your stay is unforgettable. Cannot wait to go back.

Sehr schönes familienbetriebenes Hotel. Wir haben einen Zwischenstop auf dem Weg nach Hause dort eingelegt. Der Blick auf die Berge ist wunderbar. Die ruhige Lage hervorragend zum Entspannen. Ein mehrgangiges Abendessen wird in schöner Atmosphäre gereicht. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und steht immer für Fragen zur Verfügung. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und völlig in Ordnung. Wir können das Hotel weiter empfehlen.

Wunderschöne Lage, herrlicher Ausblick von der Terrasse, nettes Personal , gutes Essen

Waren zum Kurzurlaub mit Freunden. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist ein Traum (Klischeehaft). Man sieht zum Dachsteingebirge. Also Frühstück, Abendessen und Pool vor dieser traumhaften Kulisse. Frühstück war gut. Leider gibt es keinen Kaffee von einer Espresso-Maschine! Mehlspeisen zu empfehlen. Man muss aber rechtzeitig kommen um von den guten Sachen noch etwas zu erhalten. Abendessen optisch sehr gut hergerichtet ist aber von der Zubereitung noch viel Potential nach oben! Zimmer: hier wäre eine Klimaanlage von Nöten. Personal bemüht. Die Chefin ist sehr kompetent und hat für Anfragen immer ein offenes Ohr. Der Chef kümmert sich um "einige" Gäste mehr andere werden fast ignoriert.
