Albero Capovolto

Previous reviewers have said it all - their well written words are all true. This beautiful boutique hotel in the country side was our all time favourite place to stay throughout our whole Italy trip. Alessandro and his team have created a very special place, one that we will always remember. We hope to return one day.

To say that the Albero Capovolto is a wonderful place to spend a holiday in the Sardinian countryside simply does not do the place justice. Alessandro, the warm, gracious owner and caretaker of the property, has created from his family home a living, breathing work of art that you can see, touch, smell, taste and feel - from the photographs on the wall and terracotta interiors to the locally sourced food and wine and painstakingly maintained gardens and landscaping. We were sad to say goodbye!

It’s hard to describe how nice Albero Capovolto is - you’ll just have to go and experience it for yourself. Alessandro, the owner, has thought of everything to make your stay so comfortable and welcoming. The location, architecture, ambience and and his attention to detail, is what make it so special, again I won’t ruin it by telling you more here. The hotel (or better described “home”) is is about 15 mins from Olbia airport and easy to find. The rooms are all individual and extremely comfortable. The grounds, as is the house, are stunning and immaculate. There is somewhere for everyone to enjoy some “me” time and relax. There is also a sea water infinity pool to enjoy with lots of different seating options. The breakfasts are served on the terrace with the most beautiful view. The is an option to have dinner most evenings and if you get the chance, don’t miss it - Erica’s cooking is like a work of art and simply delicious. Albero is very well located to get to the coast or further inland. Lots to see and do in the area. Olbia has plenty of eating places and shopping. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this “little piece of heaven”. Can’t wait to return 🩷❤️

Alessandro‘s albergo is close to heaven on earth. He was able to transform a family mansion in a wonderful charming and perfectly designed resort. His welcoming was very warm, the breakfast and dinner prepared by his attentive team was exquisite. The terrace gives a beautiful view on a great naturally salted swimming pool and the olive hill behind. The most relaxing place in the garden is under the century by ld olive tree. This was our second visit to Albero Capovolto and what a perfect time we enjoyed once again. Alessandro has created a magical oasis of charm and tranquility in the Sardinia countryside. The house , grounds and pool are beautiful…..the views are stunning. Alessandro is the perfect host and goes out of his way to ensure that you have a wonderful and memorable stay. The breakfast and dinners in the evening are delicious and a real bonus of staying there Alessandro has an amazing eye for detail and is without doubt a perfectionist which is reflected in every aspect of your stay. I can honestly say that to find somewhere as outstanding as Albero Capovolto is truly rare these days -but don’t just take my word for it …..book it and go and experience it for yourself - you will not be disappointed!!

Dei tanti posti visitati nel corso degli anni, l'Albero Capovolto è quello che più mi ha creato difficoltà nel scrivere una recensione. Non si tratta solo di descrivere una struttura ricettiva, si tratta di raccontare un insieme di sensazioni provate nel corso delle nostre due visite ospiti di Alessandro e del suo piccolo, meraviglioso resort. Sin dai primi minuti ci siamo sentiti come fossimo ospiti di amici, la gentilezza e la delicatezza con cui Alessandro ci ha accolti ha reso sin da subito ogni momento piacevole; la costante disponibilità si abbina alla discrezione, niente è fuori posto, nulla è eccessivo, tutto è indirizzato al benessere dell'ospite. La camera, la garden suite dopo la piscina, regala un senso di pace e di privacy sublime, immersa nella campagna con una spettacolare vista sul paesaggio rurale circostante, in ogni momento della giornata. Che sia al risveglio la mattina presto con la campagna che si desta, o durante spettacolare tramonto seduti all'ombra di un olivo secolare, la sensazione è quella di pura pace e relax. Tutta la struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli, dalla piscina a sfioro con vista sul tramonto alle strutture comuni, colme di piccoli dettagli che raccontano la storia della famiglia di Alessandro. Una menzione speciale alla cena, preparata tutta in casa con prodotti rigorosamente locali e in grado di riportare alla memoria le sensazioni tipiche delle cene in famiglia, il tutto accompagnato da uno dei migliori pani che io abbia mai assaggiato. L'Albero Capovolto non solo è una perla immersa nelle campagne della Costa Smeralda, è un'esperienza che rimane e che ti porta solo a voler tornare.
