Found this lovely accommodation on Trip.com. Had very good reviews and yes, they delivered to high expectations!! Very courteous couple, Niannian and her husband. Was informed via WeChat of ways to get to the hotel before our trip. When we informed that we arrived via airport shuttle at Qifeng square, the owner came to fetch us with 2 big umbrellas and helped us with our luggages (as it was drizzling). As we walked through Hongqiao to the accommodation, the owner also told us about its history. To our pleasant surprise, we had a free room upgrade when we reached! Room was on the highest floor that looks like an attic with a great view of the river view and sitting area by the window - really very beautiful at night, as well as in the morning (and yes, the male owner helped us with our luggages at check in and check out!!). We could hear singing in nearby bars in the room but they go quiet by 11.30pm and till the next morning when there were inconsiderate tour guides who use amplifier microphones to walk to hongqiao. Owners were very polite and welcoming - explained to us where to move around at night and the next morning, also gave us local snacks to eat/bring home. Really very thoughtful of them! Hope they will continue to be so hospitable and friendly for the many visitors at their homestay!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts are a super sweet husband and wife – so kind and helpful. They gave us a map and showed us how to explore Feng Huang ancient city. They even met us at a nearby spot, helped with our heavy bags, and brought us to check in. When we were leaving, they made sure we got a taxi and even walked us there. Such a warm and thoughtful couple – made our trip feel extra special!

The condition is clean and good location for walking around feng huang gu cheng. The owner is a couple, they are nice and helpful. It is very recommended!!

We had the best time, super location close to everything and right by the tourist center. Great room, modern, voice controlled if you speak Chinese, everything is new and clean. Great bedding, bathroom with shower and tub, separate smart toilet. But the best part of this hotel are the owners. Never met nicer hosts in 35 years of traveling. Cheery, friendly, helpfull and always smiling, speak decent enough English to help you get on your way. Found us at the taxi drop off and carried our bags there on check out. Wish we stayed longer.

The location is right by Hongqiao in the ancient town, making it very convenient for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing. Despite this, it is very quiet at night—the soundproof windows ensure complete silence. The mattress and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the smart toilet with heating is a great touch. A particularly thoughtful detail is the provision of disposable toilet seat covers and bath towels, which make the stay feel extra hygienic. The air conditioning is also very comfortable and warm. The owner arrived early to meet us at the drop-off point, and his wife carefully explained the ancient town’s map—not just pointing in a general direction but providing a thorough and detailed explanation, which was a big plus. The couple is so kind, gentle, and polite. Whenever we had any questions, the owner responded promptly. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

If you have a chance to visit Fenghuang Ancient City, do not miss staying here. Aside from the fact that this place is modern, clean, and comfortable, the host and hostess are the best we have encountered throughout our month-long travel in China. Thanks Yao for your hospitality.

I liked my room. A very warm comfortable bed and a nice view out the window of the ancient building rooftops. It was located just a few steps from the main tourist bridge but was still very quiet. The staff always offered some fruit or even some spicy candys. Fenghuang is a must see at night and staying overnight at a hotel is much better than just a day trip.
