"The reason for only 2 stars I will come to in a moment. The site is in a fantastic location in a valley surrounded by huge mountains with easy access to cable cars and signed walking / cycle routes. The scenery is breathtaking. Most of the plots are spacious with a couple of crystal clear streams running through the site. The toilet / shower blocks are modern and spotless. Staff are friendly, the shop is very well stocked but very expensive although this is Switzerland ! The reason for only 2 stars - We booked this site on a Saturday and arrived 2 days later on the monday to find there were substantial groundwork’s going on with 2 large trenches 1 going across the campsite and the other down a lot of the middle. At 7am on all 3 days we were woken by a digger, dumper truck and a ground compressor which were very very noisy. When we returned to the campsite on each day they were still at work with the same noise. They finished at around 5pm. O the first morning I did complain stating that they really should state the current work on their website. I was told it did state this on the website but was removed before they realised the work needed to go on for a further week, I received what seemed like a begrudging apology and told she would ask her boss to see if they could give us a reduction in the rate. Two days later we left with no further comment or reduction in the rate. It wasn’t really about the money it was just so disappointing to have the horrendous noise around you when the surrounding mountains are so quiet and peaceful. If it wasn’t for the work and the seemingly complete lack of awareness or understanding from the staff I would have given this site 5 stars"
