Location is excelent. Could not be better. Hower, absolutely everything else. Starting with the black mold in showers, air extractor completely blocked with dust, surprised that with the T junction in the stairs and carpet colour choice which prevents depth perception has not caused more broken ankles. Windows not closing or opening. Very bad and unhelpful contact with staff (no one present in hotel). For example, had to open door for other guests as staff not replying, and took quite a while for ourselves to gain access. Claims to be "the family-run Regent House Hotel" but saw absolutely no one there, only contact with them was through a "Ring" doorbell, which was spotty to say the least. The most appalling thing though, the toilet had no sink near it. I fail to understand how a license was given with this complete lack of hygiene. The two options are leave the toilet room without washing, go back to your room and wash hands in basin in your own room, or go the the moldy shower room and wash your hands in the shower. In short, completely unhygienic and surprised that along with the hypothetical broken ankles (mentioned above), there has also not been an outbreak dysentery or diphtheria.
