Room is big and clean. Breakfast is available at 15 Euros for a very decent spread. You can buy the Dubrovnik Pass from Hotel Porto just next door. Bus stop is almost right outside the hotel where you can get the bus pass and there are several buses going straight into Pile Old Town. Will definitely recommend!

We stayed in a Superior Double room. Room was very spacious with a balcony, a large seating area and bathroom. Though our room was facing the street, the soundproof was good. Bedding, shower and air-conditioning were excellent. Location was good and convenient from the bus terminal. We walked to the old town which was around 30 minutes. We also took buses to/from old town. To go old town, bus stop just located a minute’ walk from hotel. On the way back, the stop located around 3-minutes walk. There’s a Tommy supermarket nearby that bus stop. Breakfast was standard but with good enough choices. But I would suggest the hotel to have covered the food as there were few like small mosquitoes/sciaroidea fly on food. Anyway, we had a very comfortable stay. Recommended!
We stayed at the Royal Neptun for 1 week, it is 1 of 3 hotels forming a complex - Neptun is a 4 star and the other 2, 5 star and we could definitely see the difference. The highs, the location is outstanding, the walk along the promenade to the bars and restaurants, superb. The roof top bar and pool, amazing place to have drinks and watch the sunset, the pizzas in ‘on the rocks bar’ yummy, food and setting in Zoe was well worth the money, and the massage in the spa was one of the best I’ve had. So why only 3 stars: we checked in, other guests checking in were offered support with their luggage which we weren’t, maybe only for the 5 star, we didn’t mind but just noticeable. We walked into our room, first sight clean and tidy but then started to notice the red and white stains on the carpet, broken shower and safe, bathroom door sort of fixed. Breakfast was not a pleasant experience at all, it is not big enough for the size of the hotel, lots and lots of people walking around looking for tables, no management overseeing the flow of customers, staff moral appeared low, no one was smiling, would pass and not acknowledge you, when trying to attract attention it was like they looked through you and go in a different direction. Food ran out very quickly, all meats, cheeses etc were not covered and I could see the flies landing on it, the queue for omelettes was at least 10mins so big gathered all around where other guests were trying to eat. Pool area, as this is a family hotel was really surprised to see glass being used, 1 time were saw a glass break and a little boy cut his foot and second a wine glass broke and the stem ended up in the pool - no one was asked to leave whilst it was cleaned. This hotel has the making of amazing place to stay so hoping this feedback will help make the tweaks it’s needs.
JJulieAmazing hotel. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Spectacular views from the balcony, especially the sunsets. Really clean and comfortable- lots of toiletries in the bathroom - you don’t need to bring anything.
Great spa area n the top floor - theres also a hot tub and sunbeds on the roof - I don’t think anyone knows about this as we were the only ones there.
Breakfast was lovely, if there’s nothing there for you - you must be super fussy. Plentiful, well cooked. We also ate in the taverna restaurant which was also very good. We had good weather so used the pool area, plenty of sunbeds. You can also swim in the sea here.
Really convenient to explore Dubrovnik. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you to the old town every 20 minutes, very cheap too. Taxis come really quick from the hotel.
Definitely have to walk the walls in old town. Cable car to the top with spectacular views. Old town is beautiful, lots of shops if that what you want to do. Didn’t have time to do any trips, but will definitely be coming back to do those.
We walked a lot, exploring the local area so if you are into walking then you will be fine.
We ate in the old town - a recommended restaurant Taj Mahal. Bosnian restaurant, delicious food (not cheap) but perfect for a special meal.
Definitely recommend this hotel and the area. We had an amazing 3 nights - and wish we had booked longer.

What a brilliant hotel. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. From arriving at the hotel and mentioning that I was not very mobile they made sure I had a room with a walk in shower. Room 304. The view was at the back of the hotel but we had sun all day, so it was lovely to sit out on the balcony after exploring. The No 4 Bus is just outside the hotel and within a few stops you are at the gates to the Old Town in Dubrovnik. My husband and I got a 3 day bus pass from the Kiosk which gave us unlimited bus journeys for 3 consecutive days. This was enough for us to fit in all of the trips we wanted in Dubrovnik. We did visit Lokrum island taking the ferry. This is where some of Game of Thrones was filmed. It is a lovely tranquil island after the bustle of Dubrovnik. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a kettle with tea and coffee and also a fridge. The room was cleaned every day and towels replaced. All the staff in the restaurant, bar and reception went out of their way to help. Especially Ana, Lucia and Ivana. The buffet breakfast and dinner was very good. There was always something different to have. It was a lovely stroll down to the promenade on the sea front. There is a lovely walk round to the left but if you turn right onto the pedestrian way there are lovely cafes where you can sit have coffee and cake and people watch. We also booked a wine tasting tour on the little train with Tui which was a lot of fun, especially after much wine tasting. Thank you all so much we had an amazing holiday.
SSharon AmandaThis is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area.
There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers.
Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.
