Links House at Royal Dornoch ★★★★★

"The hotel consists of three houses, close to the beach, unusual but it works. Fantastic suite, very luxurious, bright and light too. The staff were really professional and friendly, we felt looked after. We had dinner in the restaurant which we all enjoyed."

เดอะ อีเกิล โรงแรม ★★

"Having stopped here a couple of times when under the previous owner I thought that booking again would be a wise idea. How wrong could I be. I booked with them in May for a stay on the 3rd and 4th July. We are playing at Dornoch in an open on the 4th. Only when I contacted them with a week to go to make sure all was ok and even if we could possibly stay on the Sunday night as well, have they told us the room we had booked is now no longer available as it is being used for staff accommodation. We were originally going to book the family room but changed to the apartment as that was where I had stopped before. They then told me that they no longer have suitable accommodation for us. I don’t Know if they were ever going to tell me or whether we could have turned up on Friday to then be told we had no where to stay. Surely common decency would have meant a call to us to let us know in advance. All we got was I know you will be frustrated but try other hotels or B&B’s. This for a weekend when 140 golfers are going to be in town. Totally unacceptable in my opinion and I would advise anyone not to book as obviously your booking isn’t guaranteed and you will be let down if they change their mind."

"We stayed here in Easter 2026. We had a great time - the location is brilliant for a 10 minute walk into Dornoch or for access to the east coast, although we regularly enjoyed driving across Scotland to the north west past Loch Shin to enjoy the glens (Strathfarrar 🤩) and the gorgeous Scottish scenery! The Glenmorangie distillery and local Tesco is a 10-15min drive away. The pods themselves are spacious with one master double and a smaller, but more than adequate twin room. The pods were well equipped and perfect for a cosy evening in having a takeaway or cooking. Worth mentioning that the local takeaways closed around 8-9pm so eating a bit earlier is recommended. The hot tub was a bonus which my daughter really enjoyed! Parking is free with electric charging points. We really enjoyed staying in these newly built pods and the only thing stopping us coming back is the desire to explore other areas of Scotland, but we may be back one day! Thanks to the owner and manager of the pods too for being welcoming and accommodating with our requests!"

Woodlands Bed and Breakfast ★★★

"A really lovely stay in a newly refurbished room . Room was modern, really clean and spacious . It was really peaceful . The owner was so friendly and made us feel really welcome . The breakfast was great with lots of choice . It was a great stay on our NC500 trip"

Dornoch Castle Hotel ★★★

"Staying at the castle is a wonderful experience. Unfortunately this time the castle rooms were full. We found the other room quite noisy. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel is not good if you have limited mobility due to its age but it’s a truly memorable experience."
