Hostel DaTerra

I had a truly fantastic and heartwarming experience at Da Terra during my month-long stay in Dili. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home — the warm, familiar atmosphere made my time in the city even more special. The sisters were incredibly kind, welcoming, and respectful, always ensuring that every guest felt comfortable and cared for. Another favorite part was the food. I loved having fresh juices, homemade bread, butter, kefir's yogurt, and kombucha, sharing breakfast and dinner with fellow travelers.I stayed in a private room near the bathrooms, which I loved, surrounded by plants and with a beautiful moringa tree view. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and embraced in a sisterhood. A truly special place! Gracias

This is a review for DaTerra Villa Verde, the latest hostel to be opened as part of the 3-hostel group (one in Baucau to the east, another in Dili close to the airport). Villa Verde is located right in the heart of Dili, close to the Cathedral and transport routes, and is rapidly being transformed into a green oasis of tranquility. Rooms are basic but clean and come with aircon/breakfast, bathrooms are spacious and the food is magnificent due to owner Fernando's focus on sustainability and quality. For me and my daughter it was perfect!
