"We spent 3 days at this resort. We have mixed feelings. I'll start with the good. The staff was excellent and provided great service. Offering to bring our meals to our room, the pool deck or dining area. Always polite and cheerful. Our room was clean, comfortable and properly supplied. There is a spring fed small hot pool area and a large salt water pool. The questionable: This is an older resort and is showing its age. Exterior exposed, electrical wiring was obviuos and questionable (by USA standards) concrete and tiles were cracked. The bad: the grassy areas had litter, bottle caps and cigarette butts. Small rock made walking a cautious experience. The beach area had debris. The drive from the main highway to the resort was concrete, Except, the last 200 meters. That stretch was dirt with large rocks and muddy areas that made transiting on tricycle almost prohibitive. It should be paved. Again, more trash which diminished the quality of the resort. Having said all that, we would consider staying there in the future, primarily because of the staff."

"The staff deserves all the credit. They make this place wonderful and a joy to stay at. The location is great, because it is close to Dauin’s town center and some good restaurants (Anahaw deserves a special mention as a great place to eat!). Looking at price performance, it’s a little pricy on diner and drinks, especially when compared to local alternatives. Other than that, Pura Vida is a very nice resort and relaxing place to be."

"I completed my Advanced Open Water course at Silver Reef, which I highly recommend. My instructor was Behnaz, who is very experienced. Although I have held a PADI Open Water certification for 15 years, I hadn’t logged many deep dives and felt a bit rusty at the start. Behnaz was very attentive, carefully identifying and correcting each issue one by one, all in a professional and unhurried manner. One highlight is her ability to calm you when you become stressed underwater. During my first dive, after just a few minutes, I was ready to give up, but it didn’t take long before I was enjoying myself again and reluctant to surface. As an added bonus, Sahand accompanied me every day. Despite having lived there for only two years, his knowledge was as impressive as that of a local guide. Not just Behnaz and Sahand, but everyone at Silver Reef made me feel at home. The accommodation and food were excellent, offering a variety of choices to suit all tastes. Silver Reef is just a short drive from Dumaguete. I hired a car and explored local hot springs and markets that Sahand introduced me to. Although the holiday came to an end and reality awaits, I now have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for scuba diving courses or fun dives, as well as a chance to explore the beauty and culture of the Philippines, Silver Reef is the place to go. Behnaz and Sahand are the people to contact. Enjoy diving and exploring!"

"A while ago, I stayed at Sea Dream Resort for two weeks and completed a lot of diving with Easy Diving Dauin, which is located within the resort. The resort offers spacious and comfortable rooms with beautiful real wood flooring, large and comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are well maintained, spotlessly clean, and provide everything needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights is the large private terrace, which offers a stunning view of the ocean and is the perfect place to relax after a day of diving. The large tropical garden creates a peaceful environment, while the beautiful marble swimming pool is ideal for cooling off between dives. The breakfast and dinner selections were excellent, offering a good variety of local and international dishes. Even the lunch snacks during the diving breaks were delicious and served in generous portions. The dive center is highly professional and operates large, comfortable boats with plenty of space for divers and equipment. The camera room offers the largest workspace I have ever seen in a dive resort. Each station is equipped with dedicated lighting, USB charging ports, and multiple power outlets that accommodate most types of chargers. It is clear that the needs of underwater photographers have been carefully considered. Both teams – the resort and restaurant staff as well as the dive center crew – were outstanding. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and willingness to help made the entire stay a truly enjoyable experience. I can highly recommend Sea Dream Resort and Easy Diving Dauin to divers, underwater photographers, and anyone looking for a relaxing dive holiday in Dauin."
