Stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Dali Erhai Hotel from 1 April to 2 April (Room 1110). I had originally booked 4 nights but decided to check out after just 1 night.
The biggest issue was the room temperature. The room was uncomfortably warm, and the air-conditioning is centrally controlled, so guests cannot adjust it. This made it very difficult to sleep. I requested a fan or air cooler, but was told all units had already been given out to other rooms.
To cope with the heat, I had to leave the balcony door open throughout the night. Unfortunately, my room faced a busy expressway, so the traffic noise was loud and constant. The combination of heat and noise resulted in a very poor night’s sleep.
No matter how nice the lake view or how polite the staff are, they cannot compensate for the most basic expectation of a hotel stay — comfort and proper rest.
The location is also quite remote and inconvenient.
I ended up booking Pullman Dali at the last minute for the remaining nights, and the difference was immediate and significant.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values comfort and a good night’s sleep.
